The Hagan Scholarship Foundation says it may award up to 1,500 scholarships for the 2027–28 academic year and directs this application to students in the high-school class of 2027. The form is open, with a December 1, 2026 deadline. Its FAQ lists up to $7,500 per semester for eight consecutive semesters, or $60,000 in total, subject to meeting the program conditions.
Applicants must attend a U.S.-located high school, graduate in 2027, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and enroll full time at an eligible four-year college or university the fall after graduation. The Foundation lists a $125,000 ceiling for parents’ adjusted gross household income on their 2025 federal tax return. Community colleges, junior colleges, and online-only institutions are not eligible.
Selected students must work 240 hours between January 1 and September 1, 2027, to qualify for the fall disbursement. Work must be paid, supervised, regularly scheduled, and not for a family member. Applicants must also apply for federal and state grants when eligible. U.S.-citizen finalists must provide a FAFSA Summary showing their SAI; noncitizens must submit the immigration-status evidence listed by the Foundation.
Academic obligations continue after selection: the rules specify minimum fall and annual credits, in-person or hybrid coursework, continuous enrollment, and a cumulative-credit limit. A strong high-school record does not replace these renewal conditions. The Foundation asks applicants to review the Scholarship Particulars before applying, prepare transcripts and a recommendation, and submit early. Eligibility can be lost if semester requirements are not met.
Before applying, confirm eligibility, documents, the deadline, and time zone on the current-cycle page. Keep a copy of the form and receipts, and ask how the award coordinates with FAFSA, other scholarships, and the full cost of attendance.
Read the program profile and the federal FAFSA guide; confirm with the administrator how the funds coordinate.
