The El Camino College Foundation funds scholarships for students at its Torrance campus, and the 2027 application is already open; the published deadline is December 20, 2026. The foundation reported that nearly 675 students received more than $1 million for fall 2026. That figure describes a recent award season, not a promise of funding for every applicant in the new cycle.
The portfolio covers different profiles, including academic achievement, financial need, leadership, community service, campus clubs and organizations, and international students. Some scholarships may cover tuition, fees, and books, but criteria and permitted expenses differ by award. Prospective students should review current listings and confirm that their program and enrollment status are eligible.
The application is accessed through MyECC: students log in and find the Scholarship Application link under Quick Links. It therefore requires an active student account rather than a general form emailed to the foundation. The college says awards are made the following spring; keep login details and regularly check the college email and portal.
Because requirements differ, prepare transcripts, financial information, activities, and personal responses before the deadline, and avoid waiting until the final day to resolve login issues. Students should complete FAFSA where relevant and ask financial aid how to report institutional or outside awards. If selected, follow acceptance instructions and confirm the correct term; foundation scholarships cannot be applied to past expenses.
Confirm the academic year, local deadline and time, who must submit each document, and whether supplemental questions remain. Keep confirmations and recheck the portal after submitting. Ask the school’s financial-aid office how FAFSA, outside awards, and payments coordinate.
Read the aid-program profile and the FAFSA guide; confirm with the institution how funding is coordinated.
