How to study at CSN in Henderson: admission, tuition and local campuses

What you can study at CSN’s Henderson locations, how much credits cost and how to begin with English-language support.

College of Southern Nevada (CSN) has three distinct learning destinations in Henderson: the full Henderson Campus on College Drive, the Green Valley Center on Warm Springs Road and the Debra March Center of Excellence in West Henderson. They belong to one public college but do different jobs. Henderson Campus offers general-education courses, health-science spaces and specialized instruction in areas such as aviation and welding. Green Valley is a smaller teaching and computer-lab site whose classes depend on the term schedule. Debra March is a workforce and advanced-manufacturing hub developed with the City of Henderson. Before enrolling, match the course to its actual location; a city name in a search result does not mean every program meets at all three sites.

Admission is a sequence of steps. CSN directs new students to apply, start the financial-aid process, complete placement or submit accepted alternatives, attend orientation and meet with an academic adviser before registering. The college’s FAQ describes an open-admission policy for many students, while individual majors can add prerequisites or selective entry. Placement is not a career-program acceptance decision: it helps determine where to begin in subjects such as English and mathematics. Read the current checklist, then use MyCSN to follow the personal To Do List and locate the next action. Begin with CSN’s current new-student steps; call the enrollment center if your prior credits, age or program prerequisites make the route unclear.

Budget with the term’s actual fee table. For Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, CSN lists lower-division tuition at $136.25 per credit and upper-division registration at $226. The same schedule lists common per-credit charges for academic support, technology, the student union and recreation; together those listed charges add $30.50 per credit. That makes a 12-credit lower-division load $2,001 in those tuition and common fees before textbooks, program or lab charges, and any other individual expenses. Online classes have an additional $7 per-credit e-learning fee. The one-time application and new-student fees are $20 each. Students classified as nonresidents taking seven or more credits face an additional $4,775 per semester; under seven credits, the table instead lists higher nonresident rates per credit. These are published Fall/Spring amounts, not a personalized award or invoice. Check the official tuition and fee schedule and use the college’s estimator before registering.

Financial aid can change the net cost, but it depends on eligibility and deadlines. CSN’s FAFSA school code is 010362. The Nevada Promise Scholarship is a last-dollar award for qualifying Nevada high-school graduates and some eligible equivalency graduates; for the 2026–27 cycle, CSN says the Class of 2027 application window runs through October 31, 2026. Applicants must satisfy residency, enrollment-load and other steps, so residents should read the checklist rather than assume the award is automatic. Other grants, scholarships, work-study and loans use separate criteria. Review Nevada Promise eligibility and deadlines and start CSN’s financial-aid process.

English support is available through CSN’s ESL program. The World Languages Department offers intensive and part-time English classes for learners with different schedules. New students take a remotely proctored placement assessment; its purpose is to place them at a starting level. That class sequence supports English development, but it does not waive placement, prerequisites or competitive admission for a separate degree or health program. Ask an ESL adviser which classes are credit-bearing, how the course sequence fits your goal and when you can add general college classes. Compare CSN’s English-language pathways and placement steps.

For a transfer degree or career credential, the program catalog gives the controlling details: required credits, prerequisites, course rotation and the location code attached to each section. CSN’s wider catalog includes associate degrees, applied programs, certificates and selected bachelor’s degrees. The usual associate path is around 60 credits and can take about two years at a full-time pace, but that is a planning benchmark, not a completion promise; a part-time schedule, developmental coursework, course sequencing or limited lab seats can change the calendar. Henderson’s campus has general-education classes alongside health-science and aviation or welding instruction. For a narrower manufacturing route, the Debra March center connects hands-on training with local industry; CSN reported in September 2026 that the center works with the City of Henderson, the Clark County School District and Haas Automation. Use the current CSN catalog and course-location guide to verify a credential before building a schedule.

Choosing where to go is part of choosing how to study. The Henderson Campus is the broadest local base: its map identifies student services, a library, bookstore, computer lab, tutoring center, student union and sports facilities. The college’s current computer-lab page lists a Henderson lab in C Building, while the Centers for Academic Success offer tutoring in person and online. Green Valley can be more convenient for a specific local class or computer-lab visit, but students should confirm the site and hours in the current schedule. Debra March is aimed at advanced manufacturing education and employer-connected skills rather than routine advising for every major. A visit should be tied to a particular appointment, lab or event; check the route and contact details before leaving.

Henderson Campus, Green Valley Center and Debra March Center of Excellence are separate addresses, not interchangeable buildings. The linked profiles set out each site’s address, phone, facilities and route. Confirm your course’s location code and whether the class is in person before arranging transportation; the college updates schedules by term.
