The City College of New York School of Education has opened spring 2027 awards for students in its education majors and programs. The page lists more than twenty opportunities covering leadership, history, science, mathematics, books, and students with different backgrounds. This is not one single fund: each award has its own criteria, and applicants should pursue only the opportunities for which they qualify.
The published application window runs from October 7 through October 28, 2026, closing at 11:59 p.m. on the final day. The deadline is near for anyone reading this in October: complete the Academic Works general application first, which pulls CUNYfirst information and identifies matches, then submit the separate application for each selected award.
The committee checks eligibility and may contact applicants for additional records or responses. Check the college email and portal after submitting because an unanswered request could affect eligibility. The school says award-related messages use the subject line “School of Education Awards Information”; respond promptly and keep a copy of the submission and attachments.
Academic Works sends decisions after the financial office verifies eligibility, and selected students must accept the award and complete the required forms. For scholarship-rule questions, the page names Margaret Schehl; technical portal problems go to the Scholarship Office. Students should confirm how each award is credited to their campus account and whether it can be combined with other aid.
Before submitting, confirm whether the deadline is national, state, school, or campus-based, who must send each document, and the time zone. Keep receipts and check application status. Ask the financial-aid office how the award combines with FAFSA, other scholarships, and the full cost of attendance.
Read the aid-program profile and the FAFSA guide; confirm how funding is coordinated.
