Consular jurisdiction is the first detail to check before choosing an office: Argentina's Consulate General in Atlanta serves Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee. This assignment follows residence and does not mean every procedure can be completed in one visit or without an appointment. For residents of those states, the permanent office is in the Perimeter Center area north of downtown Atlanta.
The institutional address is 53 Perimeter Center East, Suite 500, fifth floor, Atlanta, Georgia 30346. Published in-person hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the general line is listed as +1 404 880-0805. The portal provides separate contacts for documents, visas, nationality and other matters, as well as an emergency number reserved for serious incidents affecting Argentine citizens. The emergency channel is not for routine questions.
The most important practical change concerns DNI identity cards and passports. The consular page, updated on September 28, 2026, says appointments must be requested exclusively online through the National Appointment System integrated with Mi Argentina, replacing requests by email or phone. The portal separates combined DNI-and-passport appointments, ordinary passports, age-related DNI updates, address changes and replacements for lost, stolen or damaged cards. Read the requirements for the selected procedure before booking: an available appointment does not itself mean an application is complete.
The official catalogue goes beyond identity documents. It includes residence and life certificates, signature and copy certifications, criminal-record certificates, civil registrations, powers of attorney, legalisations and apostilles, travel authorisations for minors, Argentine nationality by option and several visa procedures. Some matters start online or by email, while others require attendance; the consulate publishes instructions and contacts by subject. A nationality-by-option application, for example, requires specific family documents and may require parents or guardians to attend when the applicant is a minor.
For passports and DNI cards, biometric processing is personal: the holder must appear for the prescribed identification steps. Atlanta also publishes instructions for postal delivery of documents for people living more than 150 miles away, subject to specific conditions; this is not the same as completing the entire application remotely. For apostilles of US documents, the portal distinguishes which state authority issues the apostille according to the document and jurisdiction, so follow those instructions before mailing originals.
Comments on the exact Google Maps listing highlight attentive responses and help with document procedures, alongside individual accounts of different visits. We treat them as personal experiences, not a promise about timing or outcome. For planning, the most useful information remains official: confirm jurisdiction, book through the current channel, bring original documents and arrive at the correct suite.
The office is in an office district rather than Atlanta's tourist core, so check the route and travel time before the appointment. The address, phone, hours and a summary of public visitor feedback appear in the Consulate General of Argentina in Atlanta profile.

Atlanta is the reference office for six states, but its recent address change and appointment update make it important to use current pages rather than saved instructions. For DNI cards and passports, the consulate specifies Mi Argentina as the exclusive channel; other procedures have their own requirements and contacts. Confirm the exact process, gather originals and verify the 53 Perimeter Center East address before setting out.
