Vermelho Hotel is a five-star boutique property located in Melides, on the Alentejo coast, Portugal. The project presents itself as a house with historic wooden doors, combining frescoes, collected art and antique furniture, with a character the company itself describes as audacious and aimed at a culturally curious audience. The hotel is part of the Marugal Hotel Management group and holds tourism registration number RNET 10632.

Rooms and villas

The property has thirteen luxury rooms, each individually designed with its own tonalities and identity. Inside are frescoes, artworks selected by Christian Louboutin and local Alentejo tiles. The offering is completed by villas, which can be booked independently of the rooms.

Xtian Restaurant

The Xtian restaurant is defined by Portuguese cuisine and by Alentejo seasonal products as the protagonists. The experience is accompanied by local artisanal tableware and an atmosphere that, according to the hotel's description, intensifies from sunrise to sunset.

Wellness

The hotel's wellness space combines sacred stones from ancient churches with French cosmetics and Indian mindfulness techniques. It is presented as a setting for renewal in which history and technology come together for the care of body and mind. Treatments can be booked separately.

In addition to accommodation and dining, the hotel offers experiences and an agenda of activities, and welcomes events and weddings. The property is set in a largely unspoilt natural environment, just a few minutes from the village of Melides, on the Alentejo coast. By car from Lisbon, access is via the A2 motorway heading south and then along panoramic roads, taking approximately an hour and a half. The hotel notes that it can arrange private transfers from Lisbon airport or from the surrounding area.
