About Goparity
Goparity: regulated crowdfunding for sustainable projects
Goparity is an EU-regulated participatory investment platform that connects individual investors with sustainable projects and companies. Through it, users can lend money to projects or acquire shares in impact companies, earning returns according to the conditions of each opportunity. The platform presents itself as a way for investors to decide where their money goes and to track the real impact generated.
Two ways to invest: loans and equity
The platform structures investment in two modalities. On one hand, project loans, in which the investor lends funds and receives interest as promoters repay the capital. On the other, equity investment, which allows buying shares in companies addressing environmental and social challenges. The catalog of opportunities is presented filtered by sectors, geographies, risk levels, and company development stages.
Among the opportunities shown on the site are projects such as Bosquia Nature, aimed at restoring native forests after wildfires; Solcor Solar XI, a solar installation for a metalworking company; and EatXhibition, an edible exhibition. Each opportunity includes information on the type of operation, annual interest, term, risk level, and amount invested so far.
Tools for investors
The platform offers an auto-invest feature that allows defining a strategy with criteria for interest rate, time horizon, and amount per project, as well as scheduling a monthly direct debit to maintain the balance and automatically reinvest repayments. It also includes a calculator that estimates the potential growth of an investment based on the initial amount, monthly contribution, interest rate, and term, with results presented as illustrative estimates.
To operate, the entity states that a legible copy of a valid identity document is required, such as a national ID, passport, or driver's license. The minimum investment is €20 and no account fees apply, according to the platform's information.
Financing projects and companies
Goparity also targets companies and projects seeking capital. It offers financing through debt, from working capital to growth plans, and equity fundraising for companies aligned with its mission. Promoters can request the launch of a campaign and receive backing from the investor community. The platform states that opportunities are evaluated by financial and impact experts, and that each includes clear information about risk.
Institutional backing and shareholders
Among the organizations that collaborate or participate in the platform are Energy4Impact and Mercy Corps as co-financiers, the European Commission as co-financier, Climate-KIC as co-financier, and 3xP Global, Schneider Electric Energy Access, and Mustard Seed Maze as shareholders. These entities are presented as partners or investors in the initiative.
Acquisition of Bolsa Social and entry into equity
The platform has acquired Bolsa Social, Spain's first impact crowdfunding platform authorized by the CNMV, according to specialized media. The operation marks Goparity's entry into equity crowdfunding, expanding its activity beyond lending-based investment.
Community and impact
The site shows a growing community of investors and aggregate impact figures, such as millions of euros invested in sustainable projects, people benefited, and tons of CO2 avoided per year. The platform publishes performance results and a blog with stories from the impact world, such as the case of the women of the Sangareni agricultural cooperative in the Peruvian Andes.
