Little Koha

Little Koha: New Zealand gift hampers and corporate gifts

Little Koha is a New Zealand family business dedicated to selling gift hampers and gift boxes. Its catalogue consists of products made in the country and is organised into ready-made collections or a build-your-own option. The company presents itself as a family business built around the idea of gratitude, and explains that the term koha, meaning gift in te reo Māori, sums up for them the relationship between giver and receiver.

Gift box catalogue by recipient and budget

The shop groups its boxes by recipient and occasion: gifts for her, for him, for mum and baby, for the home, for teams and offices, and a line of sustainable or eco-friendly gifts. It also offers a selection by price, with boxes under 70 and 100 New Zealand dollars, and a specific category of luxury gift boxes. In the build-your-own section there are alcohol-free, gourmet, gluten-free, vegan, personal care, homeware, baby and mum, and greeting card options.

Build your box step by step

The build-your-own option is set out in three steps. The customer starts by choosing the signature gift box, which the shop displayed at a unit price of 25 New Zealand dollars; then fills it with New Zealand-made products from the catalogue and, finally, can add a handwritten card with a message. The company states that each box is hand-packed and shipped directly to the recipient's address.

Gifts for businesses and teams

Little Koha handles corporate orders for both small quantities and large volumes, with a range that the website places between 10 and 1,000 boxes. The service includes ready-made hampers for different occasions, custom boxes, fully branded packaging with the client's logo, bulk orders for teams and offices, and a client portal to manage recurring deliveries. The company also sells a specific line of corporate Christmas gifts, with its own catalogue and early-bird offers, and offers gift vouchers of 100, 150, 200 and 300 New Zealand dollars.

Shipping and purchase conditions

Shipping is free on all orders over 189 New Zealand dollars within the country. Orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. The shop operates in New Zealand dollars and warns that some boxes include alcohol, so it requires age confirmation before browsing and holds a licence to sell alcohol.

Reviews from corporate clients

The website includes testimonials from business clients describing their experience with the company. A manager at 2Degrees recounts the design of parental leave boxes for employees' future parents and highlights the speed and creative ideas provided. A Finsol client values the time saved in managing client gifts and the presentation of the boxes, and a Sotheby's representative emphasises the product selection and the quality of the final presentation.
