FLYTTE

FLYTTE: Online moving booking in New Zealand

FLYTTE is a New Zealand platform that lets you book moving and item transport services entirely online. The system is designed so users get an instant price, confirm their booking in about two minutes, and pay on the day of service, with no phone calls or waiting for a quote.

The company operates on a booking model similar to ride-hailing apps: the customer selects the job type, sees the exact rate immediately, adds pickup and drop-off addresses, chooses a date and time slot, and pays a small deposit to secure the date. Confirmation arrives instantly by email. The remaining balance is paid directly to the moving crew when the job is done.

Pricing and how booking works

The platform shows specific rates for some services: single item delivery starts from NZ$65 and house moving from NZ$89 per hour. For hourly moves, the price is calculated based on the actual time the job takes, with an upfront estimate shown before you confirm. The company states there are no hidden fees or surprises on moving day.

The booking process has three steps: selecting the job type with an exact price, confirming with a small deposit, and the assigned crew carrying out the service. The company allows free rescheduling with advance notice and offers booking tracking via text messages and online status.

Other coverage areas

In addition to Auckland, FLYTTE provides services in Hamilton and the Waikato region, where it handles single item deliveries and Marketplace pickups, as well as full house moves. It also operates in New Plymouth with local crews for furniture delivery and full house moves. The company is considering expanding its depot network across the North and South Islands.

Tools for moving companies

FLYTTE offers moving companies a professional dashboard to manage bookings, dispatch crews, and track jobs in real time from any device. The platform syncs with Google Calendar, so every confirmed job automatically appears as a calendar event. It also lets you assign staff and vehicles to each job and see their location.

Customer reviews

Testimonials on the site highlight how easy the website is to use, how quick booking is, and how friendly the crews are. Several customers mention punctuality, care with belongings, and communication throughout the process. One user notes that the company resolved a mistake satisfactorily, and another values being able to move bulky items such as a massage chair and a small sofa. The company presents itself as a small business that cares about customer service.
