About iapp

iapp and the iSpeed module for electric bikes

iapp is the company behind iSpeed, a blackbox-type module that removes the 25 km/h speed restriction imposed by the display controller of various electric bikes. The product is designed for exclusive use on private property, closed circuits and terrain not subject to road traffic legislation.

Models compatible with iSpeed

The iSpeed module is compatible with a wide range of electric bikes, including:

  • Tenways CGO009, AGO X, AGO T
  • Tenways CGO600, CGO600 Pro, CGO800S
  • Comate CT Cruiser / Elite and CC Cruiser / Elite
  • Bafang M410, M420, M500, M510, M600
  • Reany N1 Pro/GT and W1 / V1
  • Moevs first one and second one
  • Veloretti

The company also offers solutions for Mivice and Reany based models. The module is compatible with the new edition of the CGO009 and with the 2026 Longtail version.

Operation and achievable speeds

The iSpeed module removes the speed restriction applied by the display controller, allowing the motor to run at its factory maximum. The maximum speed varies by motor: bikes equipped with the Mivice M070 reach approximately 32 km/h, while Bafang-equipped models (AGO X, AGO T, Veloretti) reach around 36 km/h. The maximum speed decreases slightly when battery charge drops below 60%.

On the new CGO600 and the Moevs line, the wheel size must be adjusted, as the maximum speed is protected in the firmware; this causes the displayed speed to be lower than the actual speed (actual speed is 1.5 times the displayed speed).

Installation and technical features

Installation of the iSpeed module is designed to be simple and quick, with manuals and videos available in the downloads section. For the CGO009 New Edition there is a stealth install procedure. The module does not modify any motor parameters, and the motor continues to operate at its maximum rated power (for example, 250 W on the Mivice M070); the only change is the maximum speed limitation. After assembly and testing, the module is filled with epoxy resin to protect the internal components from impacts and moisture. The design allows for easy removal to restore the bike to its factory state before servicing or inspections.

Legal notice and liability

The iSpeed module is designed exclusively for use on private property and closed terrain. It may not be used on public roads or in areas regulated by the Dutch Road Traffic Act (Wegenverkeerswet) or equivalent legislation in other countries. Use on public roads may leave the bike without legal insurance and outside type approval under EU Regulation 168/2013. The company assumes no liability for damage, injury or legal consequences arising from use outside the intended purpose. This warning does not affect the consumer's legal rights.

Shipping and availability

iapp ships to an extended list of EU countries and some non-EU countries. For orders to non-EU countries, no VAT is charged, but the customer must pay VAT and any import duties upon receipt. The online store allows you to view the full catalogue of compatible models.

Customer reviews

The company has reviews from verified customers on Trustpilot that highlight fast shipping, smooth communication and the product working as promised. Some users mention the ease of installation and the improved riding experience.
