About Sim-Lab

Sim-Lab, sim racing hardware with roots in industrial engineering

Sim-Lab is a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of sim racing equipment, with the stated goal of bringing the motorsport experience closer to the home environment. Its catalogue is organised around cockpits, monitor mounting systems, pedals, steering wheels, handbrakes and shifters, as well as accessories and complementary components.

Cockpits and structures

The company offers several families of aluminium cockpits, including the P1X Ultimate, P1X Pro, GT1 Evo and GT1 Pro models. Also noteworthy is the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team sim racing cockpit. The P1X Pro is presented as a highly rigid structure, with a motorsport-inspired design, a dedicated steering wheel mounting system and simplified assembly thanks to pre-drilled holes.

Pedals, steering wheels and controls

In the pedals section, the catalogue includes the Pedal Set XP1 Loadcell, the pedal slider baseplate, the Inverted Pedal Rack V2, the XP1 Black Conversion Kit and the sim pedal heel rest. The steering wheel range includes the GTSL Pro, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team steering wheel (2024/2025), the Porsche 911 RSR steering wheel and the GRID MPX V2. The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS steering wheel is described as an officially licensed product, hand-assembled, very light and rigid, with a championship-winning design.

Handbrakes, shifters and accessories

The company sells the Handbrake XB1 Loadcell, the SQ1 Sequential Shifter, the Push-Pull Rally Shifter, the SQ1 Track Pack and the XB1 Handbrake angled mounting bracket. Among the accessories are the VARIO™ Vesa Adapter kit, the Sparco Seat Slider, the Bucket Seat Bracket Set, the Keyboard Tray and the P1X Pro Front Mount. It also offers its own merchandise, such as T-shirts, hoodies and caps.

Grid Engineering line and flight simulation

Under the Grid Engineering name, Sim-Lab distributes components such as the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (991) Button Box Console, the GRID Display DDU-5, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Dashboard Display Unit and the Porsche 911 RSR Sim Racing Steering Wheel. For flight simulation it offers a Center Post Joystick Mount, Rudder Tray, Throttle Mount and Yoke Deck.

DDS TorqueSync and RaceDirector™ software

The standout product at the time of the analysis is the DDS TorqueSync, a direct drive steering wheel base presented as capable of bringing the feel of real motorsport into the home, with a Founders Edition available for pre-order. The company also offers RaceDirector™ software, with downloads and manuals, and a downloads and instructions section for cockpits, monitor and TV mounting, controls, dashes, accessories and software.

Partnership with Cosworth and community activity

In October 2025, Sim-Lab announced a strategic partnership with Cosworth to bring motorsport engineering to sim racing, based in Tholen, Netherlands. The company also organises community events, such as the Sim-Lab World Tour in Bathurst, and maintains a blog and community section. Its offering is completed by affiliate programmes and B2B signup.
