About Casa Malca Tulum
Casa Malca Tulum, a boutique hotel facing the Caribbean
Casa Malca is a luxury boutique hotel located beachfront in Tulum, in the Riviera Maya. It presents itself as an artistic and relaxed-style accommodation, with a contemporary art collection distributed throughout its rooms and a dining offering spread across several restaurants and a bar. The hotel combines accommodation, dining, wellness, beach, and event spaces within a single property.
Suites and accommodation
The accommodation is organized into spacious, carefully appointed suites, featuring modern artworks, king beds, eclectic furniture, rain showers, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the gardens, the pool, or the sea. The offering includes the Master Suite Beachfront, with eclectic decor, original art, and sea views; the Junior Suite Garden View, surrounded by palm trees and conceived as a peaceful retreat; the Townhouse Labyrinth Suite, split-level and surrounded by a tropical garden maze; and the Family Village Suite, designed for families and located just steps from the beach, with views of lush gardens.
Restaurants and bar
The dining proposal is articulated across several concepts. Philosophy is the main restaurant, beachfront, with modern international cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. Ambrosia offers contemporary Asian cuisine. Head of a Madman functions as a beach club restaurant and includes wood-fired pizzas, fresh seafood, and grilled dishes. Haring Bar serves cocktails inspired by Keith Haring's artistic universe, such as mezcalitas, margaritas, and creative combinations of tequila and mezcal with tropical fruits.
Calma Spa and wellness
Calma Spa occupies a rooftop with views of the Caribbean Sea and the jungle. Its services include ancient rituals, revitalizing massages, nourishing facials, and rejuvenating body wraps. The space also features a hydrotherapy circuit and a relaxation area with ocean views. The massage menu is presented as tailored to each guest's needs, with techniques, textures, and aromas aimed at relaxation.
Pools and beach
The hotel has three pools. The main pools, separated by the large-scale Scary Guy sculpture by artist Kenny Scharf, are surrounded by hammocks, daybeds, and loungers, and offer pool service. The Grotto pool is an underground space with blue and violet lighting and acoustic resonance, conceived as an intimate sensory experience. The Beach Club sits on a white-sand beach, with cabanas, daybeds, and hammocks, and allows pets during the day. The so-called Tunnel to Paradise, built with branches and leaves, connects the main pool with the sea.
Art and unique spaces
All the hotel's rooms are curated with works from the personal collection of its owner, Lio Malca. Notable pieces include the KAWS Companion (Passing Through) sculpture, located in the lobby, and Eruda, a large sculpture of a young book vendor at the traffic lights of Bombay, with feet shaped like a house, located in the tropical jungle area. The entrance garden, with an antique bathtub decorated with roses and brass handles, is presented as one of the most photographed corners of the property.
Weddings and corporate events
Casa Malca offers itself as a venue for destination weddings and corporate events. The hotel describes its spaces as versatile and with standout views for celebrations, and notes that it organizes meetings and corporate events with meticulous care.
