Paradisus La Perla is an all-inclusive beach resort reserved exclusively for adults, located in Playa del Carmen on Mexico's Riviera Maya. The property presents itself as a luxury accommodation focused on rest and personal care, with a protected mangrove setting as a backdrop and just a short distance from white-sand beaches, shopping areas and outdoor activities.

Accommodation and The Reserve option

The resort offers rooms and suites, including the Deluxe Swim-Up Suites, with direct pool access. The Reserve option adds its own heated pool, exclusively for adults and seasonal, as well as exclusive shows and activities for its guests.

Dining and bars

The complex has restaurants and bars included in the all-inclusive plan. Among the activities offered is a class to learn how to prepare cocktails from the drinks menu, linking the dining offering with hands-on experiences.

YHI Spa and wellness

YHI Spa is a full-service indoor space covering 791 m² (8,509 sq ft). Its offering includes body and facial treatments made with Mexican honey, local ingredients and essential oils.

The fitness area is equipped with resistance machines, recumbent bikes with backrest, climber, ski machine, elliptical, treadmill, rowing machine, weights equipment and free weights. There is also a multifunctional room with spinning equipment and studio classes covering Pilates, yoga, spinning and aerobics, as well as wellness classes, massage classes and personal trainer sessions, the latter at an extra charge.

Activities and entertainment

The program includes Pilates, body balance, yoga, spinning, aqua fitness, salsa classes, scuba diving and stretching, among other disciplines. Workshops are offered to learn how to make authentic Cuban cigars, as well as crafts such as hand-painted bags or hats. Latin dance classes cover salsa, merengue and tango.

Evening entertainment includes shows and tributes to musical icons, live bands, Mexican folklore with mariachis, traditional dances and Mayan shows, as well as pool parties with DJ, dancers, shows and games.

Pools, sports and surroundings

Water facilities include two lagoon-style pools, an activities pool and a swim-up bar. Available water sports include snorkelling, jet skiing and kayaking, with extra charges in some cases, along with beach volleyball, aqua gym and beach soccer. Beach power walks, yoga, spinning, Pilates, stretching, fit ball and personal training at the YHI Fitness gym are also organised. There is a golf course nearby.

In the urban surroundings, La Quinta Avenida is mentioned for shopping and day trips to Mayan ruins such as Tulum and Chichén Itzá, both at an extra cost.

The resort has medical services and a doctor on call 24 hours a day, ambulance and taxi service also available at any time, as well as laundry service and Bali beds. The staff is bilingual. Several of these services carry an extra charge.
