Tableo
Malta-based software for restaurant bookings, table plans, reminders, and guest management.
About Tableo
A reservation written on paper can fail when a shift changes, a group arrives unexpectedly, or two employees promise the same table. Tableo develops software to organize that work for restaurants, bars, cafes, and hotels. It is not a restaurant serving diners; it is a tool that helps staff see availability, manage bookings, and keep information about guests.
The company’s history runs through Malta and several changes in direction. Its founders first worked on a wedding platform and later on event services. The cancellation of gatherings during the pandemic led them to explore restaurant bookings; Tableo emerged from that process and launched in July 2021. That path helps explain the product’s focus on daily operations.
The dashboard gathers bookings made online, by phone, and at the door alongside a table plan and digital diary. A business can add a booking form to its own website and receive requests outside opening hours. The tool also offers automated reminders and deposit or payment options for selected services, depending on what the business enables.
Guest records and reports can help a restaurant recognize repeat visits and follow occupancy. Communication features, a mobile app, and an AI assistant also appear. They may reduce repetitive work, but they cannot replace staff judgment about service length, table assignment, or a special booking.
Tableo serves small venues and chains, though their needs differ. A cafe with a few tables may value a simple calendar; a hotel with several restaurants must separate spaces, shifts, and managers. The site presents different plans and tools, so limits and costs should be compared against the business’s actual size.
The company describes integrations that can bring reservations from outside channels, including Reserve with Google where available. That does not mean every integration works automatically in every country or plan. Owners should check requirements, synchronization, and control of guest data before relying on a new channel.
Tableo shows its value at the least glamorous moment of dinner service: a table becomes free, the phone rings, and another family arrives early. A shared diary can prevent confusion and give staff more room to care for guests. Software organizes the signals; hospitality still happens between people.
