About A-FACTORY
A-FACTORY occupies Aomori’s former port frontage, a short walk from the station, and turns local apples into a visit combining a market, visible production and food. Cidre is made inside the building using prefectural apples; visitors can see parts of the process through windows, while the shop brings together drinks, preserves, sweets, fruit and regional food souvenirs.
There is more than shopping. Upstairs, visitors can sample different cidres using a tasting card; downstairs are gelato, pastries and food outlets, from Aomori-beef burgers to rice dishes and galettes. Each business may keep its own menu, break or hours, so check the specific outlet before relying on the complex for a full meal.
Visitor feedback highlights the selection of local products and the chance to pick up an edible souvenir near the train. Cidre and apple desserts are frequent favourites, although some people find prices higher than at ordinary shops or the tasting portions small. It works best as a cluster of food stops rather than a single restaurant with one kitchen.
The address is 1-4-2 Yanagawa, beside the port and about a one-minute walk from JR Aomori Station. The corporate site lists shops from 10 am to 7 pm and restaurants from 11 am to 6 pm, but tenants vary and irregular closures occur; on 11 October 2026 it announced a facility closure for that day. Check whether the tasting lounge and outlet you want are open.
