Manufacturing and materials

The company produces its watches using fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing technology. According to the brand, this process creates a fine knurled texture that makes each piece unrepeatable. The watches are made one by one, not mass-produced, so the company guarantees that each customer owns a unique unit. The use of PLA, a recyclable natural polymer, and carbon fiber aligns with the brand's goal of combining nature and technical progress.

The MK3 model and its performance

The MK3 model is the most recent offering that the brand displays in its catalog. The watch, an automatic, weighs 40 grams including the strap, which places it, according to the company itself, among the lightest automatic watches in the world. The case weighs only 26 grams and the strap is made of ultra-light PU with a guilloché texture. The lightness is achieved thanks to 3D printing with additive technology and a patented internal honeycomb structure that maintains the necessary rigidity and reduces weight by 200%.

The brand states that the watch has been subjected to heat resistance and temperature tests with liquid nitrogen down to -196 °C. In addition to lightness and high mechanical strength, carbon fiber also provides high thermal insulation. The company maintains that, thanks to the innovative material and FDM technology, Aion Watch makes it possible to achieve performance that is currently only available in a few watches in the world.

Origin and concept of the brand

The company presents itself as a reality that was missing in the world of watchmaking: the encounter between nature and human progress. The name Aion refers to the Greek divinity of eternal and cyclical time, as opposed to Chronos, measured and linear time. The brand declares that its watches aspire to be conceptually eternal in all their parts, from the material to the technology, so that once their useful life is over they can become material and again a pure element.
