About Villa Cora

Villa Cora, a five-star hotel in Florence's Oltrarno district

Villa Cora is a five-star hotel located in the Oltrarno district of Florence, a short walk from the historic centre. The property occupies a 19th-century residence designed by the architect Pietro Camparini, surrounded by a centuries-old garden with views of the Boboli Gardens. The property presents itself as an example of 19th-century opulence and aristocratic splendour, with interiors that combine sumptuous and, at times, eccentric styles.

The company notes that, throughout its history, the villa has hosted international figures, including Princess Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, and the French pianist Claude Debussy. In the late 1960s the building began operating as a Grand Hotel. After a meticulous renovation, it reopened its doors in 2010. In 2016 it was added to the collection The Leading Hotels of the World.

Accommodation: suites and rooms

The accommodation is organised into several categories. The Imperial Suite is presented as the space occupied by the emperor; it is followed by the Suite, the Junior Suite, the Duplex, the Family, the Deluxe, the Superior and the Classic. Each category is described with its own character: the Suite is associated with the flair of celebrities, the Junior Suite with beauty, the Duplex with attention to detail, the Family with a generous space for refined leisure, the Deluxe with elegant rest, the Superior with panoramic views and the Classic with a blend of comfort and elegance.

Dining and bars

The dining offering includes the restaurant Le Bistrot, the Santa Garden Cocktail Club, the Bellevue Roof Terrace and Il Salotto del Santa. The proposal is described as a culinary experience of scents and flavours that evoke the essence of Italy.

Spa, garden and pool

The hotel has the BENè spa, presented as a space for relaxation, well-being and beauty. The Italian-style garden, with centuries-old oak trees and roses, provides the setting for the heated pool, which the property highlights as usable even outside the season. The whole is conceived as an environment of serenity and harmony.

Events

Villa Cora has spaces for weddings, corporate events and private parties.

Services and offers for direct bookings

The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the city centre. For bookings made directly through its website, the site announced advantages such as a 15% discount on treatments at the BENè spa, a welcome glass of champagne and the possibility of early check-in upon availability on arrival. Likewise, the catalogue showed an offer called Florence in Love, with accommodation for two people with a minimum stay of two nights, strawberries and sparkling wine in the room upon arrival, daily buffet breakfast, a 50-minute relaxing massage per person and a romantic dinner for two at the restaurant Le Bistrot with three courses and wines not included.
