Villa d'Este is a five-star hotel located in Cernobbio, in the province of Como (Italy), on the shores of Lake Como. The building was originally constructed as a noble residence in the 16th century and today operates as a luxury establishment. The company presents itself as a benchmark of international hospitality and notes that its history spans five centuries of style and legacy. Since 1873, the estate has hosted events of international standing, with a calendar centred on art, music and Italian excellence.

Accommodation: rooms, suites and private villas

The hotel has 151 rooms spread across the Cardinal's Building and the Queen's Pavilion, with interiors featuring antique furnishings, opulent fabrics and views of the surroundings. In addition, within the estate's centuries-old park there are four private villas, conceived as independent residences for guests seeking greater privacy and a singular sense of place.

Four restaurants and two bars

The dining offering is structured around four restaurants and two bars. Veranda is a restaurant with a terrace overlooking Lake Como. Grill combines select ingredients with a Mediterranean accent. Platano offers fusion cuisine by the lake, where Mediterranean flavours meet Japanese techniques. Sundeck serves light lunches and signature cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere, reserved exclusively for hotel guests. In the bar category, Bar Canova is dedicated to mixology, with signature cocktails and a selection of spirits.

Golf, wellness and sport

The Villa d'Este Golf Club is located in the Montorfano lake area. On the estate, the wellness and sports area includes a spa, gym and the Sporting Club, the latter with exclusive membership for practising sport and accessing private services. The Beauty Center offers personalised treatments. The offering is completed by swimming pools and a wellness activities programme that includes yoga and meditation, pilates and tai chi.

Experiences and activities for guests

The hotel organises a catalogue of experiences that includes boat tours aboard vessels such as the Vaporina, the Rusco — which connects Como and Cernobbio —, the Riva Aquarama, the Tullio Abbate Afrodite and the Tullio Abbate Super, as well as an outing on an E-Next electric boat. There are also helicopter tours, vintage car and supercar tours, Vespa tours, biking excursions, hiking and trekking, tennis lessons, cooking classes — such as the one dedicated to fresh pasta —, wine tasting catalogues, cocktail classes and picnics onboard. For the little ones, kids activities are offered, and the Kids Club operates from June to August.

Villa d'Este has spaces for private, corporate, incentive and celebration events, with dedicated services for each occasion. The company also has a corporate programme and a Sporting Club with membership.
