HUYL, wall mounts that turn LEGO® sets into display pieces

HUYL —also known as Hang Up Your Lego— is an Italian company dedicated to the design and manufacture of wall and desk mounts for displaying LEGO® sets. Its approach stems from a question the company itself poses: if bricks can be considered art, then they deserve to be shown as such and not remain stored on shelves. The first mount was born in the home, out of the need to save space and to contemplate favourite builds daily.

Collections organised by set families

The catalogue is structured according to the LEGO® ranges it serves. The LEGO® Technic line includes mounts for models such as the Aston Martin F1, Bugatti Chiron, Ferrari 488 GTE, Ferrari Daytona SP3, Ferrari F1, Ford GT, Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear, Lamborghini Sián, Land Rover Defender, McLaren F1, McLaren P1, Mercedes-AMG F1, Mercedes-Benz G 500, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Peugeot 9X8, Porsche 911 GT3 R, Porsche 911 RSR, Porsche GT3 RS and Red Bull F1.

For LEGO® Creator there are mounts designed for sets such as the Aston Martin DB5, ECTO-1 Ghostbusters™, Ferrari F40, Fiat 500, Ford Mustang, MINI Cooper, Porsche 911 and Volkswagen Beetle. The LEGO® Icons range covers the Back to the Future Time Machine, Chevrolet Camaro Z28, Corvette, Ferrari F2004, Lamborghini Countach, McLaren MP4/4 and Williams Racing FW14B, while LEGO® Ideas features the Caterham Seven 620R and LEGO® DC Super Heroes includes the Batman™ 1989 Batmobile™, the Batman™ 1966 Batmobile™ and the Tumbler.

The offer is completed with mounts for the LEGO® Speed Champions single-seaters —Alpine A524, Aston Martin AMR24, Ferrari SF-24, Haas VF-24, KICK Sauber C44, McLaren MCL38, Mercedes-AMG W15, Racing Bull RB01, Red Bull Racing RB20 and Williams Racing FW46— and with a line for CaDA® Master models, including the Mercedes-AMG GT3 C64008W.

Finishes and customisation

The mounts are available in different editions: Sticker Edition, Pur Gris, Carbon, Tone-On-Tone and Batman. In addition, the company allows each piece to be customised with a premium vinyl film —in carbon, matte or glossy finish—, engraving on acrylic or an additional 5 mm acrylic layer in black or transparent to achieve a depth effect. Customisation accepts names, quotes or numbers, and requests are sent to the email address provided for orders.

Materials and manufacturing process

The company declares the use of high-quality plexiglass (PMMA), with light transmission of up to 92% and resistance to impact and ageing. Where possible, it uses certified recycled acrylics such as Recrylic® or GreenCast®, which according to the company maintain the performance of virgin PMMA with lower environmental impact. Each mount is handcrafted and tailored to the specific set it is intended for, with clean cuts and precise alignment. The design aims to go unnoticed: clean lines, discreet fastenings and invisible edges.

Display formats

In addition to wall mounts, the catalogue includes desk lamps with a display function for LEGO® Speed Champions sets, such as the Mercedes-AMG W15 and the Ferrari SF-24, available in several versions. The prices shown in the catalogue at the time of analysis ranged from €49.90 to €129.89 depending on the model and finish.
