Elite Rehab Ireland

Elite Rehab Ireland: Game Ready machine rental for post-surgical and sports recovery

Elite Rehab Ireland is an Irish company specialising in the rental of Game Ready machines, therapeutic devices that combine cold and compression to reduce pain and swelling after surgery or a sports injury. The service is aimed at patients recovering from operations such as knee replacement, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair, knee, ankle or shoulder surgery, as well as athletes with soft tissue injuries. The company delivers and collects the equipment at home anywhere in Ireland.

Origin of the project

Elite Rehab was born from a personal experience: Jim Mc Eneaney suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture and used the Game Ready machine under the care of his physiotherapist, David Murphy. The results — less pain, less swelling and a faster return to sport — led them both to found the company to bring this recovery technology to more patients in Ireland.

Founding team

• David Murphy, founder: Chartered Physiotherapist with over a decade of experience in rehabilitation and patient care.
• Jim Mc Eneaney, founder: comes from Gaelic football and has training as a strength and conditioning (S&C) coach.
• Alana Halpenny, operations: oversees Game Ready rental operations, from initial enquiry through to the end of the rental period.

How the rental works

The process begins with an online rental request. The company confirms the booking and sends the Game Ready machine by courier directly to the client's home anywhere in Ireland. Setup consists of plugging in the equipment and filling it with ice and water. Each rental includes clear instructions and our own tutorial videos with guidance on timings and frequency of use, as well as a support team available throughout the rental period. At the end, the company collects the equipment from the same address. The rental duration adapts to the client's recovery needs.

Benefits and uses of the Game Ready machine

According to the company's information, the Game Ready system combines cold therapy and compression to relieve pain and reduce swelling, which helps to accelerate recovery. The company notes that the technology is used by surgeons, physiotherapists and professional athletes. Indications include recovery after knee replacement, ACL repair, knee, ankle and shoulder surgery, soft tissue injuries and sports injuries where swelling is an issue. The company recommends consulting beforehand to assess the suitability of the equipment in each case.

Backing and recognition

Elite Rehab states that it has been covered in the Irish media outlet independent.ie and has the trust of some of the best sports teams and players in Ireland. The company collects independent reviews on Trustpilot, where users describe their experience with the service and the equipment. In its presentation, the company cites Dr Peter Millett of The Steadman Clinic, who states that with a Game Ready system recovery is seen to be at least 20% faster; the company itself clarifies that this is an opinion based on his professional experience and not a manufacturer's claim, and that results may vary.
