ECOFUEL, certified wood fuel with nationwide delivery across Ireland

ECOFUEL is an Irish company dedicated to the sale of wood fuel for domestic and professional use. Its catalogue is built around kiln-dried firewood, wood briquettes, charcoal, pizza oven logs and firelighting accessories. The company has been operating since 2014, when it began trading from a warehouse in Galway, and distributes its products throughout Ireland.

Kiln-dried firewood and certifications

Birch, oak and ash firewood is kiln-dried and holds the Woodsure Ready to Burn certification, which guarantees a moisture content of 20% or less. ECOFUEL also holds FSC® Chain-of-Custody certification (certificate no. SGSCH-COC-140013), which supports the sustainable origin of the wood. The company has been a Sedex member since 2021 and takes part in the 1% for the Planet programme, through which it donates 1% of its annual sales to approved environmental partners.

Briquettes, charcoal and pizza logs

The catalogue includes compressed wood briquettes, sold under the names EcoBriquettes™ and PiniKay, which offer a compact and consistent format. In charcoal, the company sells alder, oak and birch lumpwood in various weight formats. For the hospitality sector, it sells logs specifically for pizza ovens under the Forno1889® brand, as well as Normandy briquettes. The range is completed by outdoor fire products from the FIRRA® line, such as an instant BBQ grill and a Swedish torch, along with kiln-dried kindling and Waxies firelighters.

Sales formats and packs

The company organises part of its range into combined packs: the CityBag® Trio Bundle, the Firewood Bundle, the Briquette Bundle and the Mixed Bundle. Individual formats include the BundleBox®, the CityBag®, the SingleDeck® and the DoubleDeck®, the latter in birch and oak pallets. It also offers gift cards and a rewards and referrals programme called EcoFamily.
