About Topflight
Topflight, Irish tour operator for ski and Italy
Topflight is a fully Irish-owned, family-run travel agency that sells holiday packages to the Irish market. Its offering is built around two main lines: ski trips across Europe and summer holidays in Italy, complemented by escorted tours and seasonal proposals. The company presents itself as Ireland's Italian specialist and describes its ski programme as award-winning.
Skiing in the Alps and Andorra
The snow catalogue brings together resorts in Austria, France, Italy and Andorra. In Austria it features Bad Hofgastein, Bad Gastein, Fieberbrunn, Kaprun, Kirchberg, Kitzbühel, Mayrhofen, Niederau, Saalbach, Schladming, Söll, St. Johann in Tirol, Westendorf and Zell am See. In France it offers La Plagne, La Rosière, Les Arcs, Val d’Isère, Méribel, Tignes and Val Thorens; in Andorra, Arinsal and Pal, Pas de la Casa and Soldeu and El Tarter; and in Italy, the Dolomites, Livigno, Madonna di Campiglio, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa and Pinzolo.
The website highlighted several seasonal proposals: early booking ski offers, Saalbach as the winter destination, discounts for Christmas skiing from €600 per person and new direct departures from Cork Airport to the French Alps for the 2026/27 season. It also announced as new for that same season the Gartenhotel Daxer in Zell am See.
Summer in Italy and escorted tours
The summer side focuses on Italy, with wide regional coverage: lakes (Garda, Como, Maggiore), the Dolomites and Italian Alps, the Sorrento and Amalfi coast, Tuscany, Sardinia, the Venetian Riviera, Liguria, Sicily, Puglia and the main art cities such as Venice, Rome, Florence and Verona. The website search tool allows filtering by holiday type — European sun holidays, ski and escorted tours —, by departure airport (Cork, Dublin, Belfast and international), duration of 7 or 14 nights and group composition, including children and infants.
What the packages include
The company details the common elements of its holidays: 20 kg baggage allowance at no extra cost, return airport transfers, hand-picked accommodation and its own in-resort team. The accommodation selection is presented as chosen one by one by the agency.
In-resort team and customer service
Topflight maintains its own representatives at airports and in the destinations. In Dublin it has two airport managers, and it has equivalent staff in Belfast and Cork. In the Italian and ski destinations there are resort managers who accompany clients during their stay and advise on the area; the company notes that this support is especially valued by beginner skiers. The sales team operates from the Dublin office.
As a satisfaction indicator, the website states that more than 95% of surveyed customers the previous year said they intended to return. The company describes itself as fully licensed and bonded, and has accumulated several awards according to its own presentation.
Family history from Dublin
Tony Collins, the company's chairman, opened his first travel agency in 1984 on Dorset Street in Dublin city centre. In 1990 he acquired the Topflight brand, then a structure of just three employees. Since then the company has grown and today works alongside his sons Anthony, chief executive officer, and Neal, product director. The head office remains in the heart of the Irish capital.
