Ramon Eppel Opticians

Family-run opticians on Crumlin Road, Dublin 12

Ramon Eppel Opticians is an independent, family-run opticians offering professional eyecare and eyewear. Their team of optometrists takes time to talk to each patient and carries out full eye examinations and contact lens assessments.

Eye examinations and contact lens assessment

The practice provides detailed eye examinations and comprehensive contact lens assessments. These include an eye examination, lessons on how to insert and remove the lenses, and a few days' trial to check the fit. An annual check-up is recommended to monitor eye health while wearing contact lenses.

Eyewear for every need

The practice specialises in eyewear for all occasions: everyday wear, occupational wear, special needs, sportswear, swimming and protective eyewear. It also has a large range of rimless spectacles; the lens shape can be changed to suit your facial features, and most rimless frames can be repaired.

Lenses and treatments

The opticians use Hoya lenses, designed to give the best vision and protection at all distances. The range includes thinner, lighter lenses, Sensity colour-changing lenses, High Vision long-life reflection-free coating, and Blue Control for digital screen use.

Children's myopia control

Ramon Eppel Opticians has been accredited by Hoya to fit MiyoSmart lenses in the treatment of myopia in children.

Contact lenses

Daily or two-weekly contact lenses can be chosen depending on use.
