Odyssey Bathrooms

Odyssey Bathrooms: turnkey bathroom renovations in South Dublin

Odyssey Bathrooms is a company specialising in complete bathroom renovation and installation, operating in South County Dublin and the surrounding areas. With more than twenty years in business, the firm presents itself as a complete service that brings design, supply of materials and installation together under one team, without subcontracting the work.

The company states that it has renovated more than 4,000 bathrooms and has over 88 five-star reviews published on online platforms. Its stated area of operation includes Rathfarnham, South Dublin and nearby areas.

A five-day renovation process

Odyssey Bathrooms structures its standard projects over a five-working-day schedule, provided they are direct replacements of sanitary ware and not complex reconfigurations. The process begins with the complete removal of the existing bathroom and the installation of the new plumbing. On the second day, the necessary carpentry and construction work is carried out to adjust walls and supports. The third day is dedicated to electrical installation — wiring, lighting and ventilation — and the start of tiling. During the fourth day, wall and floor tiling continues, followed by grouting and finishing touches such as sealing and trim. The fifth and final day comprises the fitting of the new bathroom suite, performance testing and final cleaning.

The company warns that this five-day timeframe applies only to standard replacements and may vary for more complex layouts or custom designs.

Services and bathroom types

The Odyssey Bathrooms catalogue covers different types of space:

• Complete bathrooms, both traditional and modern or high-end.
• Ensuite bathrooms.
• Wetrooms with level-access shower trays.
• WCs and cloakrooms, including the installation of an additional downstairs toilet.
• Bathrooms adapted for people with reduced mobility.

The company does not sell tiles or sanitary ware separately, nor does it install products it has not supplied itself. It only offers a complete supply-and-install package, which, according to its approach, allows it to stand behind all the materials used.

In-house team and guarantee

Odyssey Bathrooms emphasises that all work is carried out by its own operatives — designers, plumbers, tilers and electricians — trained to its standards, without resorting to subcontractors. Each project has a project manager who supervises the work and handles communication with the client.

The company offers a two-year guarantee on labour, in addition to manufacturers' guarantees for the products installed. The service includes an initial consultation at the home and a subsequent appointment at its design studio to choose materials and finishes.

Design studio in Rathfarnham

Odyssey Bathrooms has a design studio on Nutgrove Avenue, Rathfarnham, which operates exclusively by appointment. There, clients review product and finish options before setting the week the work will start.

Quotes and service conditions

The company does not apply a minimum charge, but notes that complete bathroom renovations usually start from €12,000. It provides detailed itemised quotes, with no hidden extras, and guarantees that the agreed amount will not change. During the renovation, it is not necessary to leave the home; if the bathroom being renovated is the only toilet available, the team leaves access to a working toilet every evening. Shower access is not available while the work is in progress.
