Battery World Ireland

Battery World Ireland, a battery chain with stores in Ireland

Battery World Ireland is a chain of battery stores operating in Ireland and presents itself as the country's leading battery retailer. Its catalogue covers batteries for cars, motorcycles and scooters, all-terrain vehicles, garden machinery, watercraft and utility applications, as well as a range of industrial batteries. The company is part of Hi-Volt Ireland Limited.

The company combines in-store and online sales, with free shipping on orders over €100 and next-day delivery according to its website. It offers a battery finder by registration plate that allows customers to identify the right model for each vehicle.

Technical and workshop services

In addition to sales, Battery World offers battery-related services provided in-store without an appointment, as stated on its website. These include charging, fitting, battery testing and rebuilding specialised battery packs.

• E-bike battery rebuilds, with the option to match or exceed the original capacity.
• Power tool and Segway and hoverboard battery rebuilds.
• Replacement Dyson and Hoover vacuum batteries.
• Specialised battery pack rebuild service and sourcing of hard-to-find batteries.

The range includes lithium, nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), sealed lead-acid AGM, nickel-cadmium (NiCd) and alkaline-zinc batteries, as well as rechargeable and non-rechargeable lithium batteries. It also sells battery chargers, power tool chargers and mobility batteries, including those for wheelchairs.

Alongside batteries, the store sells LED lighting: bulbs, floodlights and streetlights, tubes, panels, high-bay downlights and emergency lighting solutions. The price of LED lights includes a €0.05 contribution to recycling costs.
