Colourtrend Paints

Colourtrend Paints, decorative paint for interiors and exteriors

Colourtrend Paints is an Irish company dedicated to the manufacture and sale of decorative paint, headquartered on Maynooth Road, Celbridge, County Kildare. Its catalogue is organised into interior and exterior finishes, as well as a specific line for trim and a range of surface protection and preparation products.

Product ranges

The interior offering includes the Platinum, Interior Matt, Soft Sheen and Ceramic Matt finishes. For exteriors it sells the Weather and Woodcoat lines, with specific references for wood and facades. The trim range is divided into Eggshell, Satin and Gloss, while the Protect line groups together Topcoat and Primers products. Added to this are accessories such as paintbrush and roller sets, colour cards, interior design kits, sample pots and gift cards.

Technical characteristics of interior paint

The company describes its interior paint as formulated to achieve strong adhesion and a uniform bond with surfaces. According to its presentation, the products withstand repeated cleaning without losing pigment, offer a smooth finish to the touch and have low levels of volatile organic compounds, which reduces odours and supports indoor air quality.

Performance of the exterior range

For exteriors, Colourtrend states that its paints are designed to withstand Ireland's weather conditions. The company notes that the range resists cracking, peeling and flaking, offers high opacity for an even finish and provides protection against mould and algae.

Colour selection tools

The site provides users with a colour visualiser that allows them to try shades in a room before buying. It also offers a colour quiz, a paint calculator and guides organised by room such as living room, home office, kitchen, bedroom, hallway, bathroom and exterior. The company sells samples and colour cards to make choosing easier.

Colour consultancy

Colourtrend offers colour consultancy services with 30 and 60 minute sessions bookable through its website. The company presents itself as a colour specialist and states that it carefully selects every shade in its catalogue.

Colour catalogue and collaborations

The catalogue is organised by colour families — green, pink, blue, brown, grey, purple, white, neutrals, yellow, orange and red — and by room. Among the featured shades are Ivory Tusk, Salter Stone, Aged Vellum, Spinifex, Old Bone, Mucky Swan, Baked Plum, Templar Grey, Lowland, Chestnut Pink, Standing Tall, Rua Dusk, Fairy Fort, Golden Bay, Alabaster White and Mussel. The company maintains a collaboration with the Waterford Walls urban art festival, which in its 2026 edition marks twelve years.

Corporate profile

The company presents itself as a paint manufacturer for Irish homes, with colours developed for the country's light and architecture. Its head office is located in Celbridge and customer service is handled via the company's contact email and telephone.
