KMR Audio GmbH

KMR Audio GmbH, high-end studio equipment in Germany

KMR Audio GmbH is a German retailer dedicated to the sale of high-end audio equipment and studio gear. Its catalogue is sold exclusively via email, telephone and its website, with fast shipping and a two-year warranty on all products. The company presents itself as a reference point in Europe for select professional audio brands.

Origins and evolution of the company

KMR Audio was founded in London in 2003 by a small team of audio equipment enthusiasts, with the aim of specializing in the supply of high-end and boutique studio equipment. After around ten years of activity in the United Kingdom, it was decided to expand the business and KMR Audio Germany was born. This German subsidiary began with an even smaller team and has established itself as a reference point for the recording community in Berlin and the rest of the country.

During its early years, the company operated from a demonstration space and offices in the heart of Friedrichshain, where it organized events and made some of the best high-end studio equipment available for customers to try out. It currently operates from Lichtenrade, from where it sells exclusively by email, telephone and its website. Although the physical Friedrichshain location no longer exists, the cost savings have allowed for significant investment in more demonstration equipment and stock. The company states that it now holds more stock than ever in its warehouse to guarantee fast deliveries of its most popular brands, and adds new brands of interest to its customers every year.

Management and customer service

KMR Audio Germany is run solely by Toni Korsten, who started as a freelance contributor in 2012. Over time he took on various responsibilities, including sales manager, logistics, first-class customer service, marketing and managing director. The company highlights its knowledge of the equipment and its availability to answer customer questions.
