About Hôtel Le Versailles
Hôtel Le Versailles stands at 7 rue Sainte-Anne, a short walk from the palace entrance. Its design draws on French history, and it has 47 rooms as well as a lounge, bar and terrace to return to after a day of galleries and gardens. Proximity to the château is its strongest argument: you can set out early for the Cour d’Honneur without depending on the first train from Paris. It is not, however, right beside the RER C station; the walk from Versailles Château–Rive Gauche is longer than the approach to Hôtel du Jeu de Paume.
The official website identifies it as a four-star hotel with a round-the-clock front desk. Check-in begins at about 15:00 and check-out is by midday. The buffet breakfast includes hot and cold food and runs 06:30–10:30 on weekdays and 07:30–11:00 on weekends. Private parking is also available for a charge, with limited spaces; ask ahead if driving. Compare a rate with breakfast with one without it to understand the full stay cost.
Guests commonly value the palace-side location and the ease of beginning the visit on foot. Comments about rooms or maintenance do not always match the expectations raised by the four-star category. That classification must not be confused with the average guest score. Le Versailles suits travellers who put the palace gate and 24-hour reception first; Jeu de Paume offers a smaller-scale atmosphere closer to the RER and Saint-Louis district.
