Mini World Lyon

Five animated miniature worlds indoors in Vaulx-en-Velin; metro A and tram T3 stop at La Soie.

About Mini World Lyon

At the far end of the Carré de Soie complex in Vaulx-en-Velin, Mini World Lyon invites you to see France at model scale. Across more than 3,000 square metres indoors, five worlds unfold: an imagined city, mountains, countryside, Lyon and the Côte d’Azur. This is no static display of small buildings. Trains and vehicles move, humorous scenes appear, and lighting changes the landscape through a day-and-night cycle. Hunting for details is much of the pleasure, for children and for adults who enjoy model-making alike.

Tripadvisor showed 4.5 out of 5 from 1,823 reviews on October 1, 2026. Visitors praise the intricate scenes and shifting light; several families suggest allowing at least two hours so the small jokes and hidden details are not lost in a quick circuit. There are reservations too: one recent reviewer reported slow service at the snack area, and some find the shopping-centre setting surprising. These are individual experiences, not promises about every visit. Ticket prices vary by date and age; the official site advertises free entry for children under four.

The visitor entrance is at 3 avenue de Bohlen, outside central Lyon. The attraction recommends metro A or tram T3 to Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, then a walk of about five minutes towards Carré de Soie, between Boulanger and Carrefour. Parking is available. Its FAQ says the attraction is accessible to visitors with disabilities and recommends arriving earlier in the day if easier circulation matters. Check the calendar and tickets before travelling. It is a useful indoor option in rain or intense heat; on a sunny day with a tighter budget, compare it with the free Parc de la Tête d’Or.
