Ski school in Val d'Isère for all levels

esf Val d'Isère is a ski school located in the Val d'Isère resort, at an altitude of 1,850 metres and on the edge of the Vanoise National Park. The school brings together more than 400 qualified instructors, with state training and the ability to teach in French and English, who every winter welcome thousands of pupils across the resort's 300 kilometres of slopes. Its offering covers skiing and snowboarding for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced.

Ski and snowboard lesson programmes

The school organises its lessons in two main formats:

• Private lessons: personalised ski and snowboard sessions that allow each pupil to progress at their own pace.
• Group lessons: ski and snowboard groups for all ages and levels, in a friendly atmosphere.

The programme is segmented by age and level: the youngest (3-4 years), children (5-12 years), teenagers (from age 13) and adults, with options for introduction, improvement and technical development.

Snow activities beyond alpine skiing

In addition to conventional lessons, the school offers a range of snow activities: off-piste skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, freestyle ski lessons and adaptive ski lessons (handiski). It also offers guided experiences such as snowshoe walks, off-piste sessions or ski touring in the Vanoise mountains, as well as group activities and corporate events. The catalogue also includes ski equipment rental.

An international team in the heart of the Tarentaise

The school's more than 400 instructors welcome skiers from all around the world in more than 13 languages, which allows teaching to be adapted to international visitors. The school presents itself as a team of passionate instructors who accompany pupils throughout their stay, and publishes an instructors' book so that clients can get to know them.

Two offices in the resort

The school operates with two offices in Val d'Isère: esf du Centre and esf La Daille. The La Daille office has a shuttle service. The school also provides practical information on meeting points, partners, supervised meals and advice on choosing a ski pass, as well as guidance for parents and for off-piste practice.

Events and resort life

Among the activities organised are events such as the torchlight descent and the lantern descent, which form part of the school's programme in the resort.
