About Fontenille Collection
Fontenille Collection: Luxury Hotels and Distinctive Estates in Europe
Fontenille Collection brings together luxury hotels and distinctive estates in special European destinations, from Normandy to Provence, as well as the Landes, Tuscany, and Menorca. The collection describes its project as a celebration of French living, heritage, and nature, with an offering that combines wellness, dining, elegance, and authenticity.
The collection’s philosophy rests on three pillars: people (teams, guests, neighbors, producers, and animals), the land (gardens, wildlife, plants, landscape, and terroir), and stone (the architecture and spirit of each property).
Properties and Destinations
The collection includes Domaine de Primard, Domaine de Fontenille, Les Bords de Mer, Les Hortensias du Lac, 70 Hectares… & l’Océan, Les Hautes Mers, Les Bassans, Bastide du Mourre, Domaine de Chalamon, Santa Ponsa, Torre Vella, Pieve Aldina, and Château de Cîteaux.
Among recent openings and updates, Château de Cîteaux opened in July 2026 in Meursault, Burgundy, on a Cistercian heritage estate surrounded by vineyards. In Hossegor, Les Hortensias du Lac added a new myBlend spa designed as a relaxing retreat. In Menorca, Santa Ponsa invites guests to discover island life amid turquoise water and protected nature.
Dining, Spas, and Wellness
Dining options include restaurants and culinary experiences, such as Sunday brunch at Bistrot Martin at Domaine de Primard, an hour from Paris. The collection also sells organic wines and a fine-food shop inspired by Provençal flavors.
For wellness, the new Alaena spa brings a holistic approach combining natural ingredients and living cosmetics to three properties: Les Hautes Mers on Île d’Yeu, Les Bords de Mer in Marseille, and 70 Hectares… & l’Océan in Seignosse. Domaine de Primard was also designated a Jardin Remarquable, with gardens designed by landscape architect Jacques Wirtz.
Experiences and Custom Stays
Seasonal experiences include garden treatments, holistic retreats, wine tastings and harvest mornings, cooking workshops, outdoor dinners, and picnics overlooking the Mediterranean. The collection also offers Le Grand Tour Fontenille, a custom journey among its properties.
Event services include private bookings, weddings, seminars, and wellness retreats.
Commitment and Recognition
Fontenille Collection describes itself as France’s first hotel collection to hold Société à Mission status, which it received in 2023. Its hotels have Clef Verte certification, and the collection says it stands for sustainable tourism with high ethical, social, and environmental standards.
The collection also offers a gift card valid at all its properties and redeemable for stays, dining, spa services, or experiences.
