Pädaste Manor is a small luxury hotel and spa complex located on Muhu Island in Estonia. Its origins date back to a manor house whose oldest walls are still preserved at the heart of the building. The estate includes the main house, the Carriage House and the Farm House, and presents itself as a carefully styled accommodation, with furniture and antiques alongside modern pieces.

Accommodation and spaces

The accommodation is spread across the Manor House, the Carriage House and the Farm House. The main house combines quality bedding and fabrics with antiques and modern classics. The Farm House is described as a private and secluded villa, available for self-catered stays during certain periods. The complex has its own park and grounds, and a private helipad.

Dining: Alexander Restaurant and other options

Dining revolves around Alexander Restaurant, which serves Nordic island cuisine based on local and seasonal ingredients. The complex also has a cocktail bar, The Cellar, the Pädaste Yacht Club, catering service and the possibility of dining with a personal chef. Chef de Cuisine Achim Braitsch is behind some of the culinary offerings, such as the multi-course menus associated with specific events.

Spa and wellness

The Pädaste spa is presented as an experience aimed at revitalising the senses, in a natural and peaceful setting. Its facilities include a smoke sauna, a healing hot spring tub, a Himalayan salt crystal sauna, an herbal steam sauna, a wood-burning sauna, cold tub therapy and a seawater hot tub. The complex publishes a specific spa menu and allows treatments to be booked.

Events and experiences

The complex organises corporate events, weddings and private celebrations, including the possibility of booking Pädaste exclusively. It also programmes public events, such as concerts and themed dinners, and offers escape packages and seasonal experiences. Activities on offer include discovering Muhu and Saaremaa, horseback riding on Muhu and golfing with Pädaste. The estate is described as a place of rest that also invites activity and exploration.

The complex is located on Muhu Island, postal code 94716, in Estonia. Access is possible by commercial flight via Tallinn and Riga airports, or by private plane via Kuressaare Airport. The estate has a private helipad.

Current status and temporary closure

The website indicated that Pädaste Manor remained closed due to changes in its operating structure, and invited visitors to leave an email address to receive information when there was news. Previously, the complex had announced seasonal winter closures, such as the one from 31 October 2022 to 9 March 2023, and the planned closure from 2 January 2024 to 7 March 2024. During those periods, the Farm House remained bookable as a private villa without dining service, and the offices handled enquiries and bookings during office hours.
