Klinik Re:define, non-invasive body sculpting in central Copenhagen

Klinik Re:define is a Danish clinic dedicated exclusively to non-invasive body treatments. Its activity focuses on three services: body sculpting, cryolipolysis (fedtfrysning) and pelvic floor treatment (Pelvic Seat). The clinic presents itself as specialising in these techniques and states that it devotes itself to them "all day, every day".

Available treatments

• Body Sculpting: uses focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to induce supramaximal muscle contractions. According to the clinic, 30 minutes of treatment is equivalent to 20,000 muscle contractions, with a 15-20% increase in muscle mass and a 17-19% reduction in fat in the treated area. It is applied to the abdomen, buttocks, thighs and arms.
• Fedtfrysning (cryolipolysis): eliminates localised fat deposits using controlled cooling. The clinic states that fat cells are destroyed and the body eliminates them naturally over 2-4 months, with a reduction of up to 25% per session. The duration is 45 minutes per treatment.
• Pelvic Seat: strengthens the pelvic floor through thousands of contractions in 30 minutes, without the need to undress. According to the clinic, it reduces incontinence and improves core musculature.

Combination of techniques

The clinic suggests combining body sculpting and cryolipolysis to achieve a more complete result: body sculpting builds muscle and cryolipolysis removes the layer of fat covering it. It cites a clinical study (Kilmer 2020) according to which the combination improves the aesthetic result by 36% compared with a single technique. The usual process includes a free consultation, cryolipolysis sessions (1-4), body sculpting sessions (6-10) and visible results after 2-3 months.

Scientific evidence

The clinic states that both techniques are extensively documented. It mentions more than 19 clinical studies with ultrasound, CT and MRI measurements. For cryolipolysis, it cites reductions of up to 25% after one session and 28-31% after 16 weeks in a multicentre study. For body sculpting, it notes increases in muscle mass of 15-20% and fat reductions of approximately 19%, with MRI measurements confirming a 15.4% increase in abdominal muscle thickness and an 18.6% reduction in fat. A blinded comparative study gave an aesthetic improvement score of 1.9 to the combination, compared with 1.2 for body sculpting alone and 1.4 for cryolipolysis alone.

Prices and financing

The clinic's catalogue shows prices from 700 kr. for body sculpting and Pelvic Seat, and from 1,300 kr. for cryolipolysis. It offers a first trial session for 350 kr. (30 minutes of body sculpting or Pelvic Seat). It also offers interest-free financing in collaboration with Resurs Bank, with monthly instalments of 499, 899, 1,099, 1,299 or 1,499 kr. and the possibility of covering all costs and interest. The clinic states that the application can be made at the centre itself and treatment can begin the same day.
