About Noelle's Pet Love
Noelle's Pet Love: Cage-Free Dog Daycare in Kitsilano, Vancouver
Noelle's Pet Love is a cage-free dog daycare located in Kitsilano, Vancouver, that has been providing dog and cat care services for over 18 years. Its team consists of certified veterinary assistants and technicians, as well as professional dog trainers. The company presents itself as a care space in a home-like and quiet environment, with personalized attention and individual assessment of each animal before intake.
Dog Services
Noelle's Pet Love's offerings cover various dog care and education needs:
- Daycare with Training: daytime care in a cage-free environment where dogs receive love, exercise, socialization, and training. Training is included for dogs that attend regularly (at least once a week).
- Puppy Social Program: aimed at puppies under 6 months, with socialization among puppies of the same age in a designated area and supervised by staff.
- Kennel-Free Boarding: professional boarding service in Kitsilano, where dogs stay cage-free in an air-conditioned house, accompanied by a veterinary technician or assistant.
- Walks and Hikes: long daily midday group walks on local beaches or mountain trails, on or off leash according to the dog's assessment. Video of the walks is provided.
- Puppy Training Classes: classes to achieve a balanced, well-socialized dog with good manners and excellent recall.
- Private Training Consults: one-on-one sessions with the owner and their dog, using techniques based on scientific evidence and positive reinforcement, to modify behaviors.
- Dog Grooming: grooming service to keep pets clean and healthy, available at the recently opened daycare in Kitsilano. The service is temporarily paused.
- At-Home Pet Visits: 30-minute visits, daily or every other day, to feed, water, pet, clean the cage or litter box, and talk to the pet. Suitable for animals that do not adapt to other environments due to their temperament, age, or type.
Care Methods and Philosophy
Boarding is cage-free: dogs have access to all parts of the house, including bedrooms, and have comfortable elevated beds. Noelle personally assesses each new dog and provides ongoing positive reinforcement and training tips through association. The company takes very few dogs compared to other daycares, allowing for greater individual attention. Small or sensitive dogs are separated from larger, more playful ones, and each group stays with a different staff member. All dogs are supervised 24 hours a day by qualified staff.
Behavior and obedience training (focus, engagement, loose-leash walking, leash skills, recall, and impulse control) is provided to all dogs that attend daycare regularly and is included in the rate. Noelle and Sandy also offer private behavior modification sessions with owners when necessary. Methods are based on peer-reviewed techniques and positive reinforcement.
Team and Certifications
Noelle is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and also a Certified Professional Pet Dog Trainer (CPPDT). Staff are trained as veterinary technicians or assistants, which allows them to recognize symptoms of illness or injury. The company has been recognized as a winner in the Canadian Choice Awards 2026 in the Pet Daycares category in Vancouver.
Facilities and Environment
The daycare is located in Kitsilano, Vancouver, and operates in a home-like and quiet environment. Most dogs are exhausted after the long midday walk and sleep. Cage-free boarding takes place in an air-conditioned house. The facilities include a designated puppy area.
Service Benefits
According to the company, group interaction teaches social skills and fosters pets' self-confidence. It increases exercise time, and daytime activity can control or eliminate undesirable behaviors at home due to boredom, separation anxiety, or stress. Acceptable behavior is encouraged through positive reinforcement. Dogs that attend regularly receive behavior and obedience training, and owners are updated on their progress.
