Argama Hobby: Sci-Fi and Military Modeling in Canada

Argama Hobby is a store dedicated to modeling and hobby, with a catalog spanning scale model kits, tools, paints, accessories, and collectibles. Its lineup includes brands such as Bandai, GSI Creos, DSPIAE, Ensky, and Good Smile Company, among others. The store presents itself as a space for builders of all levels, with services that go beyond selling products.

Product Catalog

The catalog is organized into two main areas: modeling and other products. In modeling, it offers sci-fi kits, scale kits, military kits, detailing, upgrade, and customization kits, modeling tools, colors and solvents, and painting tools and accessories. In the other products section, it includes blind boxes and gashapons, puzzles and crafts, figures and plushies, lifestyle items and collectibles, books and magazines, and gift cards.

Featured items include Bandai's High Grade (HG) line kits, such as the HGAC 1/144 XXXG-01SR2 Gundam Sandrock Custom EW, and the 30 Minutes Sisters (30MS) line with option sets like OP28 Option Parts Set 28 (Action Wear α / Alpha) [Color A]. It also carries Ensky products such as Paper Theater, Paper Theater Wood Style, and Paper Shadow Art Mini, with themes including Back to the Future, Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, and Pokémon. The store offers Good Smile Company figures, such as the Nendoroid 2912 of Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Fujimasa March. It also has DSPIAE tools and materials, such as brass bars for modeling (BB-0.5 to BB-3.0), and GSI Creos products, such as Mr.Cotton Swab - Extra Fine Type (ST03).

Argama Academy: Training and Workshops

Argama Hobby has an educational program called Argama Academy, which offers classes and workshops on modeling. The academy includes courses such as Gunpla Fundamentals and Modeling Step-Up, as well as intermediate and advanced intensives. Some classes have very limited spaces; for example, the intermediate and advanced intensives are restricted to only 4 students. The store also organizes events and parties, and a summer camp for 2026.

Spaces to Build and Paint

The store has a build space for sharing, called Build Space for Sharing, which includes a Build Deck and a Painting Lab. It also offers Spraybooth Rental for those who need a suitable place to apply paint. These services are aimed at allowing hobbyists to work on their projects in an equipped environment.

Exclusive Services and Loyalty Programs

Argama Hobby offers exclusive services such as a Private Warehouse and a reward points program (Argama Reward Points). It also provides flat rate or free shipping to Canada and the United States, as detailed on its website.

Store Updates and Notices

Argama Hobby's website publishes updates and notices for customers. These include information about a potential restriction on some GSI Creos/Mr.Hobby products in Canada. Pre-orders for new Bandai kits are also announced for a limited time; for example, in September 2026, pre-orders opened for newly announced models, available until September 6. The store participates in events such as Fan Expo, where it has had a booth at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), and adjusts its hours during those periods. It also communicates the closure for Labour Day (September 7).
