Make Space Storage

Make Space Storage: self storage in Canada

Make Space Storage is a Canadian storage company that operates a network of facilities in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. Its offering is organized into three main solutions: traditional self storage, portable storage with home delivery, and vehicle storage.

Storage solutions

The company offers traditional self storage units for rent at its facilities. For those who prefer not to move their belongings, it provides portable storage and moving solutions delivered to the customer's location. It also offers spaces for boats, RVs, cars, and other vehicles.

Audiences and specific services

The site segments its solutions by customer type: businesses, military and first responders, real estate, students, and seniors. The company also publishes a unit size guide to help compare options and choose the right space based on the volume of items.

Online booking and management

Reservations are free with no commitment, and the company states that move-ins can be managed online in just a few minutes. Rentals are flexible and include short-term stays. Digital tools include bill payment, code-based unlocking, and digital contract signing.

Geographic presence

The network spans locations in six provinces. In Alberta: Beaumont, Blackfalds, Calgary, Cochrane, Edmonton, and Innisfail; in British Columbia: Fernie, Ladysmith, Pender Harbour, Port Coquitlam, Prince George, Sooke, Vancouver, and Victoria; in Manitoba: Winnipeg; in Ontario: Ancaster, Arnprior, Belleville, Brechin, Carleton Place, Collingwood, Dundas, Frankford, Goderich, Grimsby, Hamilton, Keswick, Kitchener, Niagara Falls, North Bay, Orillia, Ottawa, Pembroke, Perth, Port Perry, St. Thomas, Toronto, Trenton, and Waterdown; in Quebec: Mont-Tremblant, Saint-Esprit, and Saint-Félix-de-Valois; and in Saskatchewan: Estevan, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, Weyburn, and Yorkton.

Promotions and conditions

The site advertised a promotion of 50% off up to 12 weeks on the next rental, subject to availability and varying by location and service. The general terms indicate a minimum rental of four weeks.

Community involvement

The company presents itself as Canadian and states that it supports the communities where it operates through sponsorships and partnerships. These include the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), for which it declares itself the official storage partner; Royal LePage, with a national partnership; the Alberta SPCA; the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, with national sponsorship; and the Belleville Senators, with a community partnership in Belleville, Ontario.
