About Regina Lakeview Dental Centre
Regina Lakeview Dental Centre: general dentistry in Regina since 1975
Regina Lakeview Dental Centre is a general dental clinic located in the Lakeview neighbourhood of Regina, Saskatchewan. The centre states it has been practising dentistry in the city for over 50 years and presents itself as a comprehensive care space, with a team of general dentists working collaboratively to address most oral health needs under one roof.
The clinic defines itself by a patient-centred approach to care: explaining every step of treatment in plain language, offering alternatives when they exist, listening to the patient's concerns and preferences, and adapting to their pace. The team emphasises that many of its patients have grown up in the practice and now come with their children and grandchildren.
General and preventive dental services
The main activity is general dentistry for all ages. The service catalogue includes new patient and comprehensive exams, dental hygiene, oral cancer screening, digital X-rays, and dental sealants. Tooth extractions, wisdom tooth extractions, and root canals are also performed, with the goal of eliminating infection and preserving tooth structure through precise root canal instrumentation.
Restorative and cosmetic dentistry
In the restorative area, the clinic offers composite and amalgam fillings, inlays and onlays, dental bridges, crowns, and dentures. Missing teeth are replaced with dental implants using functional, natural-looking prosthetics. The cosmetic offering includes teeth whitening and veneers. Invisalign is also offered to straighten your smile without fixed braces.
Dental appliances and complementary treatments
The centre makes and fits dental appliances such as night guards, sports mouth guards, retainers, and devices for the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) and for sleep apnea and snoring. Sedation dentistry is also offered for patients who require it.
Digital technology and clinic amenities
The clinic incorporates digital tools for diagnosis and planning: cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), digital X-rays, intraoral scanner (IOS) for mess-free impressions and 3D planning, intraoral cameras that allow the patient to see what the professional sees, dental laser, and integrated artificial intelligence software for treatment planning. Treatment rooms have televisions and the centre is located next door to Carlton Dental Lab.
Professional team
The team is made up of general dentists with diverse training and experience. Dr. Todd Graham graduated with honours from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry in 1999 and returned to Regina to join his father's practice. He has served as president of the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, the Regina and District Dental Society, and the Western Canada Dental Society, and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Aryn Schmidt graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry in 2002 and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Drew Krainyk graduated from the same institution in 2010 and completed a general practice residency at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Emily Graham, born and raised in Regina, graduated in dentistry from Charles Sturt University (Australia) in 2023 and works alongside her father in the clinic founded by her grandfather over 50 years ago.
Practical information for patients
The clinic does not accept direct payments from private insurance companies: services must be paid at the time of service or in advance, and the patient is responsible for determining their eligibility. Payments from publicly funded insurance plans are accepted, provided eligibility is confirmed and approved before treatment. The centre also offers information about the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and has post-op instructions for extractions, implants, dentures, and night guards, as well as a medical history form for new patients.
