SodaStream Canada: sparkling water makers and CO2 exchange

SodaStream Canada Ltd. operates the Canadian store of the SodaStream brand, focused on selling machines for carbonating water at home. Its catalog is organized into four main groups: sparkling water makers, CO2 cylinders, drink mixes and accessories. The company presents its offering as a reusable alternative to single-use plastic bottles.

The store's offering includes sparkling water makers, CO2 cylinders, flavor mixes and accessories. Within the CO2 section, the site distinguishes between CO2 subscription, cylinder exchange and spare cylinder. There is also a machine comparison section to help choose between models, and a category of products on sale or clearance.

Drink customization

The brand frames consumption as a configurable experience: users can adjust fizz levels and add flavors, so that each drink suits their taste. The site sums this up with the slogan "make every sip your own" and presents mixology with SodaStream as a way to prepare cocktails and mocktails with sparkling water.

Sustainability and home use

The environmental argument holds a prominent place in the company's communication. According to its estimates, one SodaStream machine can replace up to thousands of single-use plastic bottles, and it calculates that an average user would replace around 37 plastic bottles per month. The company frames every drink as a reusable way to drink better.

Content and customer resources

The site maintains a blog and sections dedicated to sustainability, wellness and recipes. Among the informational content are a list of reasons to choose sparkling water for health, taste and lifestyle, and recipes for cocktails and mocktails. It also offers practical resources: store locator, product registration, reprint return label and a support section. The company also manages the transportation of CO2 cylinders as a specific legal matter.
