About Loan Express
Loan Express, instant payday loans in Canada
Loan Express is a direct lender operating in Canada since 2005 and offers online payday loans up to $1,500 Canadian dollars. The application is made entirely online, with no paperwork or queues, and the company states that the approval decision arrives in minutes, with disbursement via bank transfer or Interac e-Transfer. According to its own presentation, it has accumulated more than twenty years of activity and has served thousands of Canadian customers.
How the application and disbursement work
The process is organized in three steps: the customer completes an online form available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; the entity reviews the application with an automated decision system and, if the requirements are met, transfers the approved amount. The company states that the money can arrive within one minute of signing the contract, although it warns that some credit unions or smaller institutions do not have the technology for instant transfers, in which case the deposit may take a few hours as permitted by the applicant's bank.
Verification focuses on the applicant's bank account. In exceptional cases where automation is not applicable, Loan Express may request screenshots of the bank statement and the pre-authorized debit form, with support during the process.
Income requirements and no credit check
The entity does not perform credit history checks and maintains that the credit score alone does not reflect the ability to pay, so it evaluates other factors such as income regularity. It accepts applications from people with income from the Child Tax Credit, pensions, disability benefits and full-time employment. Some types of income require a minimum employment duration of four months; those who have been employed for less than two months must wait until they reach that milestone before applying.
Provincial coverage
Loan Express lends in all cities and remote locations of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador. The company does not mention other provinces or territories on its website.
Fees and cost of the loan
The site details a fee of $14 for every $100 lent in all provinces where it operates, with terms ranging from 42 to 62 days; in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador the maximum indicated term is 62 days. The entity itself warns that payday loans are high-cost products: on a $300 loan for 14 days, the total cost of borrowing is $42 and the amount to repay is $342, with an annual percentage rate of 365% for that term and 82.4% on a 62-day loan.
Customer service and data protection
Applications and loans are available in the customer's account 24 hours a day. The team responds by email from 7:00 to 23:00, Pacific Time, every day, and handles inquiries about overdue loans and technical support. The company states that, as a direct lender, it does not share its customers' information with third parties and that it has applied bank-level encryption since 2005. It also declares that it only approves amounts that the applicant can repay and that it shows the costs before the contract is accepted.
