About Science & Humans
Science & Humans: Online Hormone Health Clinic in Canada
Science & Humans is a virtual clinic based in Canada that provides personalized medical care in hormone health, with specific programs for men and women. Care is led by licensed physicians and supported by an integrative, functional medicine approach that evaluates the endocrine, metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurological systems to identify underlying causes rather than simply suppressing symptoms.
Programs for Men
The clinic structures its men's offerings into four areas: hormone health, with clinician-guided care for symptoms of male hormone deficiency; weight optimization, with treatments to support metabolic health and weight management; erectile dysfunction, with prescription treatments for sexual health and confidence; and hair regrowth, with prescription treatments to reduce shedding and promote growth.
Programs for Women
For women, Science & Humans offers care in early reproductive hormone health, with treatments for PCOS, PMDD, PMS, thyroid, and endometriosis, among others; perimenopause and menopause, with evidence-based treatments for midlife hormonal changes; weight optimization; hair regrowth; and prescription skincare, with topical treatments for midlife skin concerns.
Care by Life Stage
The clinic organizes part of its care by life stage. For people aged 20 and over, it addresses male and female infertility, fertility testing and screening, assisted family planning, and contraception. Between ages 20 and 40, it focuses on PCOS, PMS, PMDD, thyroid dysregulation, weight optimization, hormonal hair loss, acne, and sexual dysfunction. From age 40 onward, it addresses perimenopause, menopause, andropause, and longevity.
Diagnostics and Clinical Approach
The clinic presents itself as the first in Canada to offer at-home blood testing, through Healthspan by Science&Humans, a device that aims to simplify how tests are performed and read. Its integrative approach evaluates thyroid, supplements, inflammation, sexual function, movement, hormones, insulin resistance, stress, cortisol, sleep, nutrition, and metabolic health.
