Pawnshop Superstore

Pawnshop Superstore, a pawnshop with three locations in Calgary

Pawnshop Superstore is a locally owned and operated pawnshop with three locations in Calgary, Alberta. The company presents itself as a family business that has been serving the Calgary community for over thirty years with pawn, buy, and sell services for second-hand items. Its activity focuses on gold, watches, electronics, tools, and jewelry, although the product catalog includes a wider variety of items.

Pawn and gold buying services

The company offers pawn loans and direct purchase of gold, watches, and electronics. Among its selling points is the use of transparent XRF testing, performed in front of the customer, to determine the purity and value of precious metals. The firm states it is among those offering the highest payouts for gold in Calgary. The service is described as fast, confidential, and with no appointment needed: customers can visit any of the three locations for a free evaluation and receive a cash loan offer with no obligation to accept it.

Buying and selling second-hand items

In addition to pawning, Pawnshop Superstore buys and sells second-hand items. The company describes its main location as a showroom of nearly 10,000 square feet, with wide aisles and a varied selection of products that changes constantly. The catalog includes recognized brands, although the source does not detail which ones. Sales are made both in-store and online, and the website mentions the possibility of purchasing second-hand items through its platform.

The three locations in Calgary

The company operates under two business names: Pawnshop Superstore and Quik Cash. Pawnshop Superstore locations are identified by their location: one in Forest Lawn, at #1, 3520 - 17 Avenue SE, and another in Bowness, at #125, 6404 Bowness Road NW. The third location, Quik Cash, is at 726 16 Avenue NW. Each location has its own phone number and contact email, and opening hours vary between them.

Service philosophy and customer care

The company emphasizes a service approach based on transparency, fairness, and respect. Its stated principles include conducting honest and mutually agreeable transactions, aiming to outbid competitors when possible, and building long-term relationships with customers. The service is presented as discreet and professional, without judgment, and loan extensions are offered for those who need more time. The company also provides a contact form on its website for inquiries about items, loans, or pickups.
