Professional team and specialties

The team combines training in different areas of dentistry. Dr. Barbad Zamiri is a general dentist with a special focus on oral surgery procedures. He graduated in Dentistry from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (Iran) in 1989 and completed training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran in 1996. He practiced that specialty in Iran and, since moving to Canada, has focused on general dentistry with an emphasis on oral surgery. He is a member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Iranian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Reiss Martin is a general dentist. He studied Biology at McMaster University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario, where he received the Dr. Sam Ioannidis Memorial Award in Restorative Dentistry, the Schulich Dentistry Prize for Professionalism and Ethics, and the award in Oral Medicine. He has participated in volunteer dental care experiences in Nicaragua.

Dr. Fernanda Barona is a periodontist and treats periodontal and implant-related conditions. She graduated in Dentistry in 2012 from Universidad Católica de Guayaquil (Ecuador) and completed a Master of Science in Craniofacial Science and postgraduate training in Periodontics at the University of British Columbia in 2017. She is a fellow-elect of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology. Her research has focused on the use of leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin in periodontal procedures and in implant and gingival reconstructions. She speaks English and Spanish.

The team is completed by Dr. Ravinder Dhillon, a general dentist, and Dr. Gabriel Ukegheson, also a general dentist.

Care in multiple languages and patient communication
