Revelo

Revelo, Canadian technology for folding bikes

Revelo is a Canadian company that develops and markets folding solutions and components for bicycles and eBikes. Its approach focuses on reducing the bike's volume to make it easier to store and transport in tight spaces, and on improving braking safety through anti-lock systems. The company presents itself as the creator of Canadian innovations, including the THINstem system and the LIFT folding bike.

THINstem: handlebar folding to save space

Revelo's main product is THINstem, a patented folding stem system that allows the handlebar to be turned to reduce the bike's width. According to the company, the result is a profile up to 60% thinner in hallways, garages, and tight spaces, making it easier to walk the bike without snagging and to park it anywhere. The system is designed to fit into small apartments, student residences, motorhomes, boats, workplaces, hallways, and public transport.

The company offers a quick-release version of THINstem, marketed as an upgrade for bikes, and publishes usage and installation resources, as well as warranty information, manuals, returns, and FAQs.

Components and accessories

In addition to the folding system, Revelo sells components and accessories for bicycles and eBikes:

• THINstem Quick-Release Folding Stem, a quick-release folding stem.
• Lightweight grippy folding pedals, compatible with universal 9/16-inch thread.
• SABS anti-lock brake pads for bikes and eBikes.
• THINstem + folding pedals + SABS pads combo for V-brake brakes.

The shop catalog listed prices in Canadian dollars for these items, with a sale price for the combo compared to its regular price.

Innovation and safety

The company ties its offering to two pillars: portability and safety. The THINstem system addresses the first, while the SABS anti-lock pads focus on safe braking for bicycles and eBikes. Revelo also mentions the LIFT folding bike as part of its Canadian innovations, along with the storage solution that THINstem represents.

Shop and support

Revelo runs an online store organized into THINstem, parts, bundles, and explore sections, with content on innovation and a blog. The website allows selecting country or region and currency, with Canada and the Canadian dollar as the main configuration, and offers the interface in English and French. The company publishes refund, privacy, terms of service, and shipping policies, and has an email subscription form.
