About Puradies Leogang
Puradies Leogang, a Nature Resort on the Salzburg Plateau
Puradies Leogang is a four-star superior nature resort in Leogang, in the Salzburg Alps. It describes its setting as a secluded, traffic-free plateau between the Steinbergbahn and Asitzbahn lifts, with no through traffic or nearby neighbors, designed for rest and time in nature. The property combines hotel accommodations and private chalets with Heaven Spa, its own dining, and an organic farm.
Accommodations: Hotel and Chalets
The resort offers two types of accommodations: a design and lifestyle hotel with rooms and suites, rated four-star superior, and independent chalets with cabin character and hotel services. The company describes itself as the only resort in Leogang where guests can choose between a hotel or a private chalet, and says all services—from childcare to Heaven Spa—are available to every guest. Dogs are allowed.
Heaven Spa: Two Wellness Areas
Heaven Spa has two distinct areas. The family area includes a heated outdoor pool with indoor access, a separate children’s pool, family wellness programs, and an aquatic area. The adults-only area includes a sauna house. The spa also offers treatments, fitness and yoga facilities, and day-spa access, along with an infinity pool.
Dining: Ess:enz and Other Spaces
The resort’s dining concept centers on Ess:enz – Garden of Eating, described as natural cooking open to both Puradies guests and outside visitors. The property also has a bar called Freiraum. Dining options differ between the hotel and chalets. The resort describes its cuisine as Haubenküche, a term associated with high-end Austrian cooking.
Organic Farm and Family Ownership
The resort belongs to the Madreiter family, mountain farmers for generations. The property includes Bio-Bauernhof Embachhof, an organic farm with a petting zoo that is part of the guest experience. The family is involved in the business: Michael Madreiter, born in 1978 and formerly a business consultant, is described as an environmentalist and visionary; Philipp Madreiter, born in 1983, has been connected with the resort since childhood; Sebastian Madreiter, born in 1953, oversees the organic farm; and Elisabeth Madreiter, born in 1957, is described as a garden artist who creates warm moments for guests. Sustainability is one of the project’s stated priorities.
Natural Setting and Activities
The resort offers direct access to mountain activities. In summer, an Epic Bikepark trail passes through the property’s forest, and hiking routes begin at the resort. In winter, the resort offers ski-in/ski-out access: guests can put on their skis outside the door, glide to the Steinbergbahn lift, and return on a private trail. The property has its own experience program and publishes a podcast.
Services and Facilities
The resort offers a property map, childcare, an experience program, pickup at Leogang train station when guests share their arrival time in advance, free on-site parking, and ski storage. The website also has a blog and frequently asked questions. Leogang is about 75 km from Salzburg via the A10, about 155 km from Munich, and the nearest airports are Salzburg (SZG) and Munich (MUC). Leogang train station is on the Wörgl–Salzburg line, about five minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot from the resort. Driving requires a toll vignette and, from November 1 through April 15, winter tires.
Offers and Booking
The resort’s website has offers for the hotel and chalets, as well as a last-minute category. It listed a limited-time seasonal promotion that included a complimentary Fischer ski. The resort also sells gift cards and has a careers section.
