Wallan Vet Hospital is a veterinary clinic located at 139 High Street, Wallan, Victoria. Facilities and equipment

The centre has state-of-the-art equipment ranging from orthopaedics to arthroscopes and advanced diagnostic imaging. The clinic has in-house blood test services, ultrasounds, radiology and scans. In addition to veterinary care, the hospital stocks a range of pet food and pet products.

Veterinary services

The clinical offering includes general medicine, health checks, nurse consults, dentistry, vaccination, desexing, microchipping, flea and worm control, and care for senior pets. It also looks after the health of dogs and cats, with specific programmes for puppies and kittens, such as kitten socialisation and feline dental care.

In the surgical field, the hospital performs orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, arthroscopies and cancer care. Pre-operative information is provided and cases are referred to specialists when necessary. The team also addresses pain management, animal behaviour and weight loss.

Rehabilitation and post-operative care

Professional team

The team consists of veterinarians, nurses and client services staff. Among the veterinarians are Dr Paul May, lead veterinarian, and Drs Elle, Olivia, Victoria, Amy and Carmen. The nursing team includes Brooklynne, Philippa, Vanessa, Annie, Kirsten, Amie, Melissa and Jasmina, the latter in training. Shari holds the position of practice manager and Melanie that of receptionist. The veterinarians have interests and experience in advanced surgical cases, pain management, animal behaviour and diagnostic imaging.

Consultation hours

Consultation hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00. The clinic is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
