Cruiseabout

Cruiseabout, an Australian agency specialising in cruises

Cruiseabout is an Australian travel agency focused on selling cruises and organising holiday packages that combine a cruise, flights and stays. The company presents itself as more than a conventional travel agency: its approach relies on advisors who have travelled on cruises and who bring that experience to recommending itineraries and cruise lines.

Cruise offering and CruisePlus packages

The agency's catalogue covers river cruises, luxury cruises, departures from Australia and destination-specific offers. Destinations featured in its search include Japan, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, New Zealand, the Mediterranean, Canada and Alaska, Antarctica, Europe, Norway, Hawaii, the Caribbean and South America.

Alongside cruise bookings, Cruiseabout sells CruisePlus packages, which bring together cruise, flights and accommodation in a single offering. The agency states that it can tailor these packages to the client's dates, budget and travel style, and it also includes last-minute offers.

The website lists the companies it works with, including APT Cruising, AmaWaterways, Avalon Waterways, Azamara, Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Celestyal Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Cunard, Disney Cruise Line, Emerald River Cruises, Explora Journeys, HX Expeditions, Holland America Line, Hurtigruten, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, Ponant, Princess, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Scenic Ocean Cruises, Scenic River Cruises, Seabourn, Silversea, Uniworld River Cruises, Viking Cruises, Virgin Voyages and Windstar Cruises.

Advice and support

The company emphasises that its advisors bring first-hand cruise experience and that the service continues before, during and after the trip. In addition to bookings, the website includes sections on travel insurance, cruise accessories and preparations, a loyalty programme and a travel blog.
