Hoselink

Hoselink: Australian-designed garden watering systems

Hoselink is an Australian company that sells a range of garden watering products, from connectors and hoses to retractable reels and solar lighting accessories. Its catalogue is built around a proprietary connection system that, according to the company itself, aims to eliminate leaks and bursts at connection points.

The Hoselink connection system

The system is based on connectors with an oval design and a durable nylon construction. Unlike the usual click-on connectors in Australia, which have differentiated male and female ends, Hoselink's have an identical face on all components, allowing multiple hoses to be joined without the need for an additional connector piece. The company notes that this design makes it easier to use for people with limited hand strength or arthritis, and that the connectors stay secure thanks to a white split ring and an internal barb system.

The connectors are compatible with flexible hoses with a 12 mm and 18 mm internal diameter. For those who already have watering accessories with click-on connectors, Hoselink offers an adaptor set that allows them to continue using them.

Hoses and reels

The company sells kink-free hoses that can be purchased separately or pre-fitted with Hoselink connectors. Its standout product is the Evolve™ Retractable Hose Reel, which incorporates a Precision Layering System (PLS) to retract the hose without tangles, a reinforced brake and a compartment in the wall bracket for storing accessories. According to the catalogue information, the Evolve™ offers up to 22% more water flow than the Classic model and comes with a five-year warranty, compared to two years for the Classic. The listed price for the 30 m model at the time of review was AU$319.

Watering, cleaning and other accessories

In addition to hoses and reels, the catalogue includes sprinklers, spray guns, watering wands, irrigation systems, cleaning devices and pet accessories. The gardening section includes garden beds, tools, protective gear and accessories, as well as a solar lighting line with wall lights, path lights, spotlights and decorative lights.

Shipping and warranty

The store offers free shipping on orders over AU$99 and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Purchases are made exclusively online.
