BugFree Pest Control

BugFree Pest Control: pest control in Sydney with more than three decades of activity

BugFree Pest Control is a pest control company operating in Sydney and its metropolitan area. According to its own presentation, it has been in the industry for more than 35 years and works with houses, apartments, strata buildings, restaurants, offices, warehouses and retail premises. The company states it began operating in 1990 and offers same-day service for many bookings, subject to availability.

Its team consists of licensed pest management technicians, including NSW EPA Pesticide Technician Licence No. 5074197. The company identifies itself as a member of AEPMA (Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association).

Pest control services for homes and businesses

The company structures its offering around specific treatments according to the type of pest and the characteristics of the property. Among the residential and commercial services it details are:

• General treatment against common household pests (cockroaches, spiders, ants and silverfish).
• Cockroach control, with attention to nesting and breeding areas such as kitchens, cupboards, appliance voids, cracks and bin areas.
• Rat and mouse control, with assessment of entry points and feeding or harbourage areas.
• Termite control and inspection, with treatment and protection options according to the level of risk. The inspection may include moisture meters and thermal imaging.
• Spider control on eaves, sheds, fences, gardens, outdoor furniture and roof spaces.
• Ant control, targeting the colony and not just visible trails.
• Bed bug treatment, with prior identification of the extent of activity.
• Other services: fleas, silverfish, wasps, bees, flies, mosquitoes, carpet beetles, moths, bird lice, pigeons, possums and other pest problems.

The company also carries out pest inspections, termite inspections, pre-purchase inspections, thermal inspections and commercial inspections. For the commercial sector, it offers pest control for hospitality, warehouses, cafes, restaurants, offices, commercial real estate, strata communities and construction. In construction, it mentions termite barrier treatments, Term-Seal reticulation systems, slab sprays and pre-construction treatments.

Work approach

BugFree Pest Control points out that its method is not limited to applying a product where the pest has been seen. Technicians examine the property, identify the pest and its possible source, check common harbourage and entry points and select a treatment suited to the problem. The company distinguishes between older homes with subfloors and roof voids, high-rise apartments with shared service areas and commercial buildings with loading docks, storage areas and waste zones, since each type of property creates different risks.

Pricing, warranty and coverage

The company states that treatments start from $89 and that, before beginning, it explains what it recommends and what the service includes. If an additional treatment or specialised work is needed, it presents the options before the customer decides. The website mentions warranty, insurance, kid- and pet-safe treatments, no hidden fees and customer satisfaction. It also advertises a 10% discount for those who mention a specific ad.

The company operates in Sydney and Greater Sydney, with service seven days a week, 365 days a year, from 07:00 to 20:00. It offers same-day service for many bookings, subject to availability, and has a contact phone number and a form to request a free quote.

Reputation and recognition

The company states it has more than 5,300 Google reviews and an average rating of 4.9 stars. It presents itself as an AEPMA member and licensed by the NSW EPA. Its owner, identified as Oscar, is listed as the holder of pesticide technician licence No. 5074197.
