About Aussie Solar Batteries

Aussie Solar Batteries, solar battery installer in Australia

Aussie Solar Batteries is the dedicated battery storage division of Solar Systems Pty Ltd, an Australian-owned company established in 2017. The company presents itself as Australia's largest solar battery installer in 2026, a claim it backs with national installation data published by the Clean Energy Regulator (CER), the official body of the Australian Government. According to its own count, it has completed more than 16,000 installations since 2017 and has more than 1,000 five-star reviews.

Battery and inverter systems it offers

The company's catalogue is built around several lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery brands and hybrid inverters. Among the solutions it offers are the Sumray + Solis systems, HGNESS + Solinteg/Solis, Each Energy batteries and FOX ESS batteries. The company states that this equipment is certified and approved by the Clean Energy Council (CEC) and complies with the AS/NZS 5139 standard.

The batteries it installs feature LFP chemistry, a service life of more than 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, a ten-year warranty, fire suppression, dual metal casing and an intelligent battery management system (BMS). Their design is modular and scalable: from 10 kWh to more than 50 kWh in the case of Each Energy, and up to 41.93 kWh in the case of FOX ESS. As for the inverters, these are hybrid units (solar + battery) of 5 kW or 6 kW expandable to 8 kW in the Each Energy range, and 8 kW or 10 kW single-phase and 10 kW three-phase in the FOX ESS range. They incorporate AC/DC coupling, emergency backup and monitoring via web or mobile app, and comply with the AS 4777 standard.

Technical performance of the batteries

The company highlights a storage efficiency of 98.6%, full capacity at 50 °C, IP66 weatherproof certification, an AC output range of 180 to 300 V, a ten-year warranty and more than 6,000 charge cycles. In the case of Each Energy batteries, the firm details a service life of 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge (around 16 years at one cycle per day), 8,000 to 10,000 cycles at 50% (between 22 and 27 years) and a design life of 15 to 20 years under normal residential use.

Storage, savings and backup

Aussie Solar Batteries' commercial approach consists of storing surplus daytime solar energy for use at night, reducing reliance on the grid and maintaining supply during outages. The company mentions the possibility of accessing government subsidies for solar battery installation, with an outlay that can start at AUD 3,999, approximately one third of the total cost. It also offers a virtual power plant (VPP) plan with free grid charging between 11:00 and 14:00, a daily bonus of AUD 1 for avoiding grid consumption during peak hours and a payment of 15 cents per kWh for exporting energy to the grid between 18:00 and 20:00. The company estimates that, with an electricity price difference of AUD 0.40 per kWh and daily consumption of 20 kWh, its customers save around AUD 8 per day and recover their investment in under two years, although it warns that the figures are based on average consumption of 20 to 30 kWh per day and may vary depending on local subsidies, feed-in tariffs and electricity prices.

Fire safety in home batteries

In its educational content, the company addresses the fire risk of lithium batteries. It cites data from Fire and Rescue NSW, which recorded 332 incidents involving lithium-ion batteries in 2025, compared with 165 in 2022, and notes that most correspond to electric bicycles and scooters, tools and cheap devices, not correctly installed home solar batteries. It argues that quality home batteries use LFP chemistry, which is resistant to thermal runaway, have a permanent management system and must be installed by an accredited professional in accordance with the AS/NZS 5139 standard. The firm recalls that there have been recalls, such as the LG RESU range due to fire risk, and describes four layers of protection: stable LFP chemistry, a management system that disconnects in the event of any anomaly, emergency isolation with modular design and integrated fire suppression. The Sumray battery, which it offers, incorporates all four layers, including internal suppression, and is certified for up to 27 years.

Customer resources and coverage

The company's website includes a New South Wales battery subsidy calculator, a return on investment calculator, downloadable spec sheets for the FOX ESS and Each Energy batteries, frequently asked questions and a news and insights section. The company serves both those starting their solar project and those upgrading an existing installation, and offers expert advice, products and ongoing support. Its activity extends to homes and businesses across Australia.
