Faux Flora

Faux Flora, artificial plants for indoors and outdoors

Faux Flora is an Australian-based online store selling artificial plants, also described as faux or fake, aimed at those looking for decorative greenery without the need for care. The company describes itself as an Australian local business and ships its products Australia-wide from Australia, with no international shipping waits.

Its catalogue is built around the idea that you don't need a green thumb: the products require no watering, pruning or sunlight, just an occasional dusting. The company says it selects each item for its realistic appearance, durability and design.

Catalogue of plants and botanical decor

The range covers several product families:

• Artificial plants and artificial trees.
• Artificial hanging plants.
• Wall panels, discs and hedges.
• Artificial flowers and stems, including an orchid line.
• UV-resistant outdoor plants and trees.
• Stands, pots and accessories.

Featured models include the Mediterranean olive tree in 155, 180 and 210 cm versions, the fiddle leaf fig in 150 and 180 cm, the 180 cm Australian ficus, the tropical resort palm in 100 and 180 cm, the 102 cm Boston hanging fern, the 80 cm hanging maidenhair fern, the 60 cm split-leaf philodendron in a pot and a 90 cm string of pearls hanging plant. Many of these items are described as UV-resistant.

Shop by size and by style

The store makes selection easier with size categories: small pieces up to 60 cm, designed for shelves, desks and windowsills; medium pieces from 60 to 120 cm, to soften corners and brighten living spaces; and large pieces over 120 cm, conceived as architectural features for blank walls and empty corners. It also groups together the products most valued by its customers and a trends section.

Faux Flora ships Australia-wide. The site indicated flat-rate shipping of $12.95 and free shipping on orders over $250, plus a free shipping promotion on the first order over $150 for those who subscribe to its email list.
